Behold, the mechanical marvel! (Quadro cab rotation)
Sadly we didn't win this, I'd just been handed a 1600+ bill for repairs to my car. On reflection I wish I'd bid anyway.
A friend spotted this on some German forums, and on ebay. This cabs rotation system puts all others to shame, nothing will ever beat it:

Yes, it takes multiple PCBs too. The hunt is on to locate another.

That's not quite the same as the one we were looking at, apparently the sit-down ones have a somewhat fragile rotation mechanism. The one we'd seen was an upright.
Apparently it also has four power supplies, to run four boards, and you can configure each game position (selectable from the panel) to be horizontal or vertical.
Man I wish we'd put more money on it.

It's one of those things that if you can't sleep you zombie through your house and power it on in the middle of the night, see it turn, smile and go back to sleep. I'm pretty psyched. I had no idea the human mind was this creative -> auto-everything. I can't wait untill we get proper 16:9 tate shmups and we discuss the best lcd rotating mechanism for our living rooms. That would be so sweet!spadgy wrote:That is awesome! It might be a bit of a gimmick, but it's one that would entertain me near infinitely.
