Cave shmups coming to X360 confirmed!

I haven't played shmups nor been to the boards here in a long time. I recently picked up another dreamcast and some games so I thought I'd hit the boards, and I find this on the first page. I almost didn't believe it when I saw it.

I'm so excited for this. I just hope they make the games region free so I don't have to buy an import 360 =/

Here's speculating that the JP release of Deathsmiles, in addition to being region locked, will receive a relatively small print run. I imagine Cave isn't really outfitted for a big console operation, and there's no way in hell they'll do continuous little print runs ala Arika. They've been promoting the OMG L@@K RARE culture anyway with all the hard-to-obtain Cave Festival goods...

Wonder if the LE will come with a DVD or OST instead of another...well, kinda meh-looking figure? Any news about that?

It seems that the guys at 5pb are going to show a PV of DDP DOJ 360 at TGS next month. Currently the level of conversion is 89%, but they want to push it to 91% before TGS arrives.

『大往生BLX』（仮）のPVを収録したんだけど、色々とトラブってしまい、
移植度89%（当社比）のバージョンで収録出来ず、
65%（当社比）のもので泣く泣く対応。

今月末あたりから目にする機会もあるかも知れませんが、
今はアレより断然良くなってます。
ゲームショウでは91%（当社比）バージョンを
お披露目したいと思いますのでお楽しみに。

ちなみに開発進行度と移植度は別物です。（笑）

Would've been nice if they had put out the never before released port before the one thats already had a home port.

And I guess if DDP DOJ flops (which it might since I imagine anyone interested already has it) then they would probably cancel Ketsui X.

Well, if you want to get technical Black Label's never gotten a home port before...come to think of it, has ANY Black Label game gotten one? Closest I can think of is Ibara's "Arrange" mode, and that was only kinda-sorta.

I'm hardly an optimist, but I doubt we ought to start worrying about Ketsui getting cancelled.
