Is tate harmful?
Is tate harmful?
Is there any chance I might wreck my TV by turning it on it's side? It's an old tube TV and I don't want to risk it if there's a good chance it'll wreck my TV.
Dreams are necessary to life.

It's late and I'm in a weird mood
Yes, tate'ing is a vile, sinful scourge that must be stamped out. This kids today, with their fast cars, motorcycle porn and flipped monitors, they're ruining the once great country of America. I'm afraid to go outside, whenever I open the door, I find a flaming, vertically oriented TV on my stoop. I try and stomp it out, and those damn brats filled the screen full of doggy doo.
You turn on the TV, and you hear news report after news report about tate related violence. These young people, cut down in the prime of life, because they fell in with the wrong crowd. Tate'ing is a gateway gaming setup, donchano? Yep, these kids get cracked out on the vertical aspect, and then they get exposed to the harder stuff, like RGB cables and superguns.
Today, little Timmy may think he isn't hurting anyone by flipping the TV while the folks are out. Before you know it, Timmy's bleeding to death in an alley, stabbed repeatedly by some biker named Death Mallet for looking at his baby's mama for too long.
Yes, it's a tragic, all too common story, one which the liberal media refuses to acknowledge. Tate may seem like the thing all the cool kids are doing, but it leads to addiction, the breakdown of the social order, and, ultimately and always, death. Did you know that tate'ing is responsible for 67% of all TV related fatalities in the world? Statistics like that don't lie.
Me and my group, Citizens For The Moral And Horizontal Orientation Of TVs For America, have been campaigning for years to have a 5 day waiting period to allow for background checks before anyone can buy a TV. Think of all the crazed, strung-out tatefreaks who can walk into a neighborhood Best Buy and flip his screen late into the night. And you know who that ultimately hurts, right? Us, the good, decent, tax-paying citizens. And don't think you can spot a taters. These bastards could be your friends, your neighbors, your co-workers. They thrive on the facade of appearing outwardly normal, while inside their souls are rotten to the core.
When your friends use their fancy "peer pressure" to try and get you to join them in the deathspiral that is tate'ing, remember, Just Say No.
