The Worst of Hollywood

Post by Ceph »

A thread about awful studios, writers, directors, movies.

Let's get started.

I'd say the worst "directors" currently are
Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer

Seriously. Paul WS Anderson has to be the absolute fucktard of Hollywood at the moment.

I just noticed that Friedberg and Seltzer still haven't made a "spoof" of Schindler's List. Who knows, maybe we'll see Holocaust Movie next.

^^^For shame Oscar!

I didn't event need to click the link to know which two morons your were refering to.

Paul WS Anderson is EXTREMELY overrated as a director but those two don't even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath.

Ah yes, Pearl Harbor. One of the most painful movies I've ever watched.

I loved the original Starship Troopers, even though the book it's based on is infinitely better, but I got to watch the third opus of the thing, and Jesus Christ was it painful. I mean, I know it's supposed to be crap, but people actually rent/buy this? It's like #2 this week at my local Blockbuster.

Michael Bay agreed.

But who ever 'rated' Paul Anderson in the first place for him to be overrated?

He's the most goddamn useless bastard ever, who's going to make the most goddamn useless Castlevania move of all time.

Friedberg & Seltzer seem to come from the same school of comedy as Seth Green that teaches simply referencing something is a joke.

Scorcher III through VI

And don't even talk about Simple Jack; no way that Tugg Speedman is making a comeback.

hay guys, I'm running a movie forum. Please discuss this there. Thanks

PS. I'm currently installing the Shmups board template there, so it's like you're posting here, but not!

Ugh, I forgot the green and yellow text, too. Ultimate fail

On a more serious note, I hate movies that are like really long trailers. You know, completely OTT action sequences, slow motion all the time, monotonous dance music. Worst offender in my mind is McG, which is why I hold very little hope for the new Terminator.

Also, bad wire stunts & CGI.

Because this tradition has been alive literally forever, was your mention of someone in particular an unintentional joke on the model you've delineated for us all?

You can tell it's a joke because I used the word comedy in reference to it.

Speaking of which I saw this great joke on Family Guy yesterday where Tom Tucker (voiced by series creator Seth MacFarlane) was talking about the electric company and then it cut to an animated version of the Electric Company intro and I laughed because I remembered hearing about that show on I Love The 70s. Rediculous.
