I just beat the catfish thingy too. Over, and over and over again.

Anyway, the game's great apart from the terrible online. Etrian's pretty much covered everything here since him and I went over the game yesterday. Make sure you have someone to play with for the main quest.

I played co-op this afternoon for a good while. I did a search for a room with a max of two players. It took me a while of trying to join, but after a few tries, I got matched up with someone from Europe (he had the lowest ping on the list–weird). At any rate, it ran smooth as silk. It was the first time playing co-op for the both of us, but it was really fun. This is definitely where the meat of the game lies, in the co-op.

It's a really great game with tons of stuff to unlock. I hope they can iron out the online problems people seem to be having before the end of October. I think once the holiday games start hitting shelves, people are going to drop off from playing this tremendously. It'll still be a good game to own and break out for any time some friends come over though.

I had the opportunity to play the demo - 4 player local - the other day and it was great. I am definitely going to buy this, I just hope a patch is released soon to fix the reported online issues.

How difficult is the game to finish? I've heard that it is pretty easy, so are there any difficulty settings?

I can't recommend it enough, playing this through with some buddies was really fun and the humour is great, if immature. And you're supposed to support your indies...

The only trouble I've had online is voice chat causing a desync, we ended up doing the final boss about 3 times because someone laughing during the ending caused a disconnect.

It has drum and bass ninja pirates. Buy it.

If you run around with a full stock of potions you'll never lose, and if you're playing multiplayer you can revive each other as well. There's an unlockable "Insane Mode" as well that boosts the fodder a fair bit and the bosses dramatically. I hope you can play this mode multiplayer though, because it seems fodder, or at least the barbarians, have a deathtouch critical strike chance...
