I'm sure this has been discussed before but can somebody explain what the metal case around the Daioujou board is for ?
Why is it not included with Espgaluda / Ketsui ?
Is it necessary ?
Cheers,
Steve

it is very uneccesary.
and yeah its just a fancy protection cage CAVE shafted after they found out it is a costly and completely meaningless feature.

It is possible that the metal cage was originally included to cover up the PGM hardware, then it was later decided that ghetto-scraping the IGS names from the chips was a cheaper alternative.
DDP Doj still has the IGS logos on some of the chips.

Cave decided to go "all out" with their DDP-DOJ PCB release and by golly, they did with that cool and hefty blue colored metallic PCB case covering. That metal case would equally feel at home with a Ketsui or ESPgaluda PCB as well (if you want to give them "naked" PCBs the extra special and lavish attention to them). ^_~

If the metal casing was not present most people would have rendered their Black Label useless after one flick of the brown switch
