Guys,

I offered around a year ago to assist Tone if he found it was getting too much. I used to run a 30k+ registered member uk based forum, so i know a little about these. However all that Tone said was thanks for the offer, however he had had his fingers burned and wouldnt be doing that again - would be running it himself with the assistance of Pang, so i can only guess all the registration database and info will not surface....I also was looking along with Tone to set up something in the way of an online store for all the stuff that could be sold alongside the site..

All the guys there were friendly, and all helped me a lot.

So - if there's any assistance i can give - either setting something up or whatever, i'm here to help. I have plenty of server space in the USA, so no problems if someone wants me to set something up....

I feel very confident that this shmups site is in extremely good hands and that the db is backed up from time to time.
What about arcade otaku, will that disappear in a couple of years again. I'm feeling very bitter. Not that I contributed that much myself, but for the community.
Still nobody knows what the hell happened. I should put cnn on this.

We used to backup weekly to a server in the UK, and the data hosting centre used to back up nightly.

At the end of the day, as you have mentioned, there's too much good info to loose...

but if we cant reach the person with the info how do you expect anyone to get it. If Tone wanted to hand it over he would of handed it over weeks ago. I am not happy about the situation either. but superpang is my first choice for heading the new forum for the fact that he loves arcades now and has done for a long long long time.

I am sad to see the information go. but the people who put the infromation there in the first place are on arcade otaku and there working on replacing it and building up new information. I see this as a postive thing and I think everyone else should. I miss KC but im looking forward to AO even more
