Don't know... I guess I'll find out when it arrives (ordered the OST from them last Friday).

Oh please tell us when you do. It's a "limited time" item and I might want it too.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

i also ordered it from vgmworld now in hopes of getting the bonus disc... but i'm also actually curious to the ost itself cause i really like what daisuke nagata and kou hayashi have done for choasfield and karous. though what they did for radirgy wasn't really my cup of tea.

btw, thanks still kiken & gaijinpunch for the headsup on where to order (didn't see it any earlier)...

The bonus disc appears to be a remix of the "extra stage" songs.
"The only desire the Culture could not satisfy from within itself was one common to both the descendants of its original human stock and the machines [...]: the urge not to feel useless."

I.M. Banks, "Consider Phlebas" (1988: 43).

Is it just a medley?

More of a remix, I think that some of the remixed tunes are somewhat different from the originals...there are two remixes on the main soundtrack as well, but I can't figure out who the authors are.

Oh, so it's several songs? Are they long at all, or just little 30 second remixes or so?
Of course, that's just an opinion.

The CD's arrived today. Rando is right, the bonus disc contains a single 10 and a half minute long mix track featuring every bonus stage theme.

I bet they could have easily managed to put that on the main disc... Is it any good?

The actual OST is pretty good. You can hear little bits of themes borrowed from k.h.d.n.'s (yes, this is how Daisuke Nagata and Kou Hayashi now refer to themselves) earlier works. The two remixed tracks aren't given a credit in the manual.

The bonus track full of all of the bonus stage themes has its moments. The themes are fairly basic and only go on for about 30 seconds each, give or take. Given that the OST CD clocks in at 40 minutes, you can easily tack on the bonus disc.

It has been mentioned elsewhere on the forum, but we might as well list it here in the main thread:
Illvelo will be receiving a port to the Wii. Release date is set for November, 13th.

I'm hoping that given the fact that every MileStone shmup has received at least 2 homeports, that they'll consider a 360 port as well.

What's with Milestone's (Daisuke Nagata's) obsession with nerd glasses?:
ImageHeck, isn't that Aida Tadayo from Radigy?

This news makes me smile. Hopefully MSC gets enough sales to warrant a US release.

Awesome news. I hadn't heard this yet.

I don't know, things don't look very good with the way UFO is presenting the game. I'm sure the vast majority of its sales will come from people who already know what it is.

Here's hoping O3 will make up for their mess with Radio Allergy.

Quick question: do the dolls play like the Miyamoto charge shot in Dimahoo, to some extent?

I don't know... I'm not sure they'll ever be localizing for Milestone again, what with that and the Chaos Wars dub debacle.

Well ouch, that was a pretty cold thing to say. Of course, I haven't played Radirgy and Karous yet, so I can't say if this is wrong.

I'd say, if anything, a 360 port is far more likely.

Best best is to buy the Ultimate Shooting Collection when it arrives. UFO won't bother licensing another Milestone shooter if they can't sell the ones they have bought.

Bitches Blue. Gold. Absolutely. Golden.

I'm making my friend buy the MSC, as I'm not getting a Wii. Chance no fuckin'. 'Least not at 250.

Wish my friend would order himself a copy of KDL, though >.>

Too bad the Milestone Ultimate Killing Collection didn't get a PS2 release. Would definitely have gotten that.
