Hey, I don't think that Flash scam will grab me. Here's why:

Even so, I will be extra careful to note if eBay asks for my pw (it's happened to me a few times that it's brought up a "plz login" during the final minute of bidding, although not recently, thank goodness).

There apparently is a way to directly steal passwords of users with a combination of flash and java, simply by having them look at your auction. No need to redirect them to a fake site or have them input the password. The best idea would probably be to disable java when browsing ebay.

I figure I lose about 10% on each auction nowadays. Which includes listing fee/closing value fee/paypal fee.
What more can I say I wouldn't be here today if the old school didn't pave the way.

Maybe there's hope. I just discovered this international alternative:

Looks like a great alternative.

Maybe a temporary error. They don't have a localized Japanese site.

By the way, there are no listing fees at ebid. Yay! :D
Currently 1,375,677 auctions - not too shabby.

I thought we were in a worldwide recession?
In recessions people sell alot of stuff, unfortunately out of necessity. Call it a perk for eBay.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Looks like ebay gets what it deserves:

Seems we aren't the only ones who don't like the constant changes for the worse.

Latest change for the worse: Since October it is no longer possible to send your email address to other members; ebay monitors and tries to auto-delete email addresses from any messages you send. From now on they do also store ALL messages indefinitely in order to analyze them and see if their terms of service were violated.

Next change for the worse: You can only send 3 messages per day.

If the Ebay corporation wanted to buy their stock back, then the fall isn't bad. Besides, it's not like it looks any worse than any other ailing large corporation.

They might be following YJ's path, w/ their torihiki navi. It's a good system since you don't have to store and keep up w/ a lot of emails. Of course, Yahoo never scans it for shit b/c I do deals external to YJ within the system all the fucking time.
