Apparantly there are 3 versions!
Why base it on the 1996 version?
Why not the 2008 version or the 2000 version?

1996: http://klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=7876
2000: http://www.arcadeflyers.com/?page=flyer ... 83&image=1
2008: http://www.konami.jp/am/locationtest/gticlub/
googled hard, found 1 picture here: http://d.hatena.ne.jp/navy_fia/20080427 (not sure if this is even the 2008 version)

Either way, Sumo has my confidence. Can I pre-order? Oh damn, I'll have to buy one of those psn cards thingies?
November seems very close.
More arcade racing for the people!

Weird, never heard of that one. It reminds me of that similar game they released on the original Xbox–can't recall the name of it. You could jump online with that one too. Kind of fun just driving around the city chasing and wrecking into each other.

So this is for the triple only? No 360 release?

PSN only.

GTI club was fun. You could drive through outdoor cafe shops through tables and chairs and do hand brake turns through alley ways. Basically like motorstorm except on streets. Think Italian job.

From your description, I think that was Midtown Madness 3.

Anyways, i'm a big fan of GTI Club - I always take the time to play it when i'm in my local arcade and have been waiting for a home conversion for years, so glad to see one finally arrive.

Ah yes, there was a GTI Club cabinet at my local arcade back in 1999-2000. Very fine racing game for it's time. You had to insert another coin/credit if you wanted to race that souped up Italian exotic supercar on the car selection screen. The force-feedback steering wheel setup was ace as well.

Will this GTI Club HD d/l be for the USA region PSN as well?

Yes, its just made in Europe by Sumo who made Outrun 2 on the Xbox. It might have a slightly later release in USA but will definitely be released at some point.

That's it. This looks exactly the same.

Oh well, I won't be playing it anyways.

The demo is out on European stores; 3xx MB required.
Downloading now.

EDIT: It's amazing! I'm not sure if it's available on other psn stores, but you won't regret registering a EU account if you like arcade racers and the EU stores are the only ones it's available for.
Sumo did it again; awesome job. Besides wanting the choke the exec who decided not to include a rear view mirror, it's perfect. (even if the arcade original might not have had a rear view mirror)
2 shortcuts. nice replay feature.
It even support wii-like steering, tilting the controller.
I'm off to play some more!
There's a very nice attract mode and when you place 1st you get a new color scheme for the VW Golf....
replay: set it on 0.25 speed, hit R1 to turn the navigation bar off and take good look at the nice scenery!

I'm in the Philippines at the moment so I cannot download this wonderful game at the moment. However, I have a week off next week in the UK and I will get right on it.

Thanks for the heads up D.
