Subterranean Animism (Touhou 11; ZUN, 2008)
The replay works fine for me, seems strange it wouldn't work on a specific machine. Desyncs are either because the movement wasn't recorded correctly or random numbers are being generated wrong from the seed.
Also, that last pattern is goddamn awesome.
Easy:
Taylor - 271,884,800 - All - Marisa-C - 0.1%

Of course my computer can handle it.
I'm not the only one with this problem. A couple of my friends have the same problem (and we don't have the same computers, or the same operating systems for that matter), and there are a few posts on 4chan of the same issue. I read that if you have the problem, you have to start at stage 1 and watch it all the way to the end.
I'm sure there will be a patch for this eventually.
Also, I just finished watching a replay of Extra stage. It looks easy at first, then it looks harder than any other extra stage so far (even more than Yukari's Phantasm stage).

Easy:
spongdangly — 274,514,890 — ALL — Marisa-B — 0.1% (replay)
Pretty good run up until the last stage. I don't even understand how I managed to die so many times during a few of the last spell cards. Marisa-B being able to change is pretty sweet.[/url]

Sat down and did a Normal 1cc
Normal mode:
Shion - 230,631,820 - ALL - Reimu B - 1.7%
Replay
Reimu B is terrible for scoring, and grazing seems harder than with Marisa. I needed the smaller hitbox to 1cc this though
First 3-4 stages went excellent, stage 5 cost me most of my lives.

Damn... Normal is nerve-wrecking.. i'm stuck at stage 6, but at least i beat easy quite... easily :p
Easy:
Zhiver - 292,175,480 - ALL - Reimu-A - 0.2%
EDIT: Just got a new score on my first serious "scoring" run , i lost 2 lives on the 5th stage trying to do it the "scoring" way -_-.
EDIT2: Getting better

Trust me, I have over 50 doujin shmups on this computer, and they all work fine. Subterranean Animism runs perfectly for me, it's just that replays end early for some reason.MX7 wrote:Don't be so sure.Momijitsuki wrote:Of course my computer can handle it.
Performance of doujin games differs wildly from system to system.
This computer isn't 5 months old yet, and I put the best video card, RAM, and processor available on it. It's not my computer, a file must be screwed up or something.

Alright, finally got the hang of this one. I cleared it during an experimental run (meaning, I played MUCH more recklessly than I usually do, I used a lot of bombs (using ReimuA) to find good places to boost my grazes (Stage 5 midboss' opening move, for example)). So since I played more recklessly than usual, I died a lot more than I should have, and it fucked me over in the long run, because I kept killing my point multiplier.
Anyway:
Easy:
Momijitsuki - 187,602,600 - ALL- Reimu-A - 0.1%
Expect a score in the 200mil range next time.

You don't need to post a replay unless you're shooting for the #1 spot, Munty.crono_logical wrote:ooh, touhou 11 thread I'll post some replays when I've uploaded them :p
Normal mode is quite a step up in difficulty over previous games for me too especially at stage 5/6 :p
Yeah, I'm hit by that replay bug too - seems to only affect from stage 6 boss, including my own replays :p

Easy:
spongdangly — 335,857,150 — ALL — Marisa-A — 0.1% (replay)
I seem to score roughly the same regardless of which character I pick. Marisa-A's raw power and inflated power gauge make boss fights a whole lot quicker though (well, at least on easy).

Normal:
spongdangly — 163,090,180 — Stage 6 — Marisa-A — 0.0% (replay)
I think I like Marisa-A for survival. Way to be the first here to 1CC normal Shion.

Updated.
Apparently, the official jp scoreboard has opened, and the first replay to be submitted there — Lunatic 1.5 bil Marisa-A by tunDERE. — has been deemed foul by the judges (or whoever it is that approves the replays submitted there). I haven't even had the chance to see it, and never will now. :) So, since the 1.67 bil Reimu-A by NTB is even worse in that respect, 1.18 bil is still the record.
I'm dying to see what the veterans are going to do with this game. ASAPIN will likely try his hand on it, and it might be that ISO will, too (since he's had a lot of records on EoSD and PCB, both based around grazing as well).

The only reason it's easy is because pretty much no-one except the top 4-5 scorers are actually trying. :\ Almost all the scores there are pretty weak, honestly.Momijitsuki wrote:It's easy to stay on the PCB/IN boards, but damn.
If it was something as popular and competitive as DoDonPachi or Batrider, I'd get wiped off the board instantly, even though I usually try to stay near/at the top of the Touhou boards on these forums.
That being said, I need to reclaim the top here. Thanks to the God of luck, Thursday to Monday (inclusive) are my days off this week, so I'll definitely get on that asap. :P
