Has anyone ever Bought Imports from NCSX?
Have any of you guys bought anything from these?
http://www.ncsx.com/
I saw a few items on their site that are not on Play-Asia
Are they any good to buy imports from?

Order with confidence. I've never once had a problem. Yes: shipping is more expensive than it is from P/A, but it also tends to be *quite* faster if you're in the US, and the prices are comparable between NCSX and P/A on most things.Marz0183 wrote:Have any of you guys bought anything from these?

Regardless: NCSX is straight-up legit.

I've ordered with them many times over the past 10 years or so. Never had any issues.Marz0183 wrote:Have any of you guys bought anything from these?

i've now received 2 totally destroyed boxes from ncsx.
i just ordered another shipment. if this box is destroyed again, i am never ordering from them again. they'll have a bad UPS shipping omen or something. evil hex of shipping death.
2 figures i bought from there, the boxes or bubbles were totally fscked.

Don't use UPS. The website is stupid but they actually have Priority Mail if you want it. I usually call them and request Priority Mail and pay over the phone. Never cause me any problems and I get my stuff in two days tops.

Odd. This is the first, and I do mean the first, thing I've ever heard that could be considered a mark against NCSX. Was it UPS that damaged the box, or was the outer box in good shape, and NCSX themselves shipped a damaged box? If it's a UPS problem, I'm not sure that you can blame NCSX themselves for that.bay wrote:i've now received 2 totally destroyed boxes from ncsx.

Then again, I don't order anything other than games from them, and they're far more likely to come in without a scratch than something like, say, the myriad toys they advertise.
I still say that NCSX is completely trustworthy based on my experience, and the experience that everyone else has chimed in with. You may just be ordering something for which shipping is bad news on any front.
i agree that it's probably not NCSX themselves, but it's the UPS carriers that deal with their packages. i have the same UPS delivery guy to my place, packages are usually in sound shape when they arrive. i dunno what has been going on with NCSX boxes, but the past 2 have been obliterated (figures). the first box i ever got from them was about 4 months ago, it wasn't damaged, and that was a game order.boagman wrote:Odd. it may be that games provide better structural integrity to a box, but come on.. ive had the worst luck with them or something.
I'm not doubting your experience. In fairness to NCSX, though, they're taking care of you customer-service-wise, aren't they? Even the best track record is bound to have a smudge here or there, and if they're trying to make it right, I'd still put that in the plus column for them.bay wrote:i agree that it's probably not NCSX themselves, but it's the UPS carriers that deal with their packages. i have the same UPS delivery guy to my place, packages are usually in sound shape when they arrive. i dunno what has been going on with NCSX boxes, but the past 2 have been obliterated (figures). the first box i ever got from them was about 4 months ago, it wasn't damaged, and that was a game order.boagman wrote:Odd. I guess my bigger question is: do you know of a better alternative for ordering the same items at a comparable price? If so, let us folk know! Good sellers are always great to hear about. I find NCSX and P/A both to be superior in terms of value, shipping, and reliability. In fact, I really wish I knew of more places like them, but YesAsia and the one or two others that I know about (keep in mind that I'm only interesting in buying games, here) all tend to be far higher priced than those two.
Sorry for your hard luck. I'm sure that they'll do what they can to make it right, either by refunding your money or having UPS do so.
