G-Darius and Darius Gaiden for Windows PC

Post by Hanuman »

I know that some of you may have copies of G-Darius and Darius Gaiden for windows without the music. Well I figured out it is really easy to put all the music back in.

All you have to do is, find a copy of the soundtrack online and grab it. Create a standard audio CD out of the MP3's. I am not sure if it is important to have the 2 sec. gaps or not but I would recommend putting them in just to make sure.

Now, all you have to do once you have your audio CD is, make sure you insert it into your CD-ROM drive before starting the game and VIOLA! All the music is now in place.

ENJOY!

For Hanuman,

The U.S. versions of Interplay's PC ports of Raiden II and Darius Gaiden came with Redbook audio format. That was a very nice touch to be able to listen to the cool BGM tunes on a regular music CD player if you wanted to.

I dig listening to the original BMG tunes of PC Raiden II on CD player boombox with the bass cranked up a bit. ^_~

Too bad that the JPN and USA PSX versions of Raiden Project use Yellowbook audio format for the Raiden and Raiden II games. The game disc is only 35 or 37MB on a 650MB PSX game disc with so much empty space that such Redbook audio could have been put to good use. Oh well, Seibu Kaihatsu managed to do a respectable PSX port taken from the original arcade PCBs of the same name.
