Hello all you shmup fans.
I stumbled upon this site in my (desperate) search for a shmup I enjoyed years back at the local arcade when attending high school, and if anyone can help me find it again it will be you guys.
I can give the following info and thus hope one or more of you can help me identify it:
Year: Older than or from 1994.
Company: That I cannot recall.
Type: Vertical shmup.
Title: This I of course cannot recall, but closest to my memory is Sorcerors' Strike, but do not cling to that because it might well be way off.
Miscellaneous: 4 or 5 pilots to choose from. The setting was sort of the mystical meeting tech, like is popular with asian games. All pilots (or characters would be more appropriate) were a type of spell caster (witch/sorceror/wizard).
Now, my favourite character and the only one I would play with was, as I recall, a sort of samurai underwater lizard humanoid (indeed!), and what I remember the most was his secondary weapon which, when fully developed, were 4 blue energy balls shot out in an arch, and they'd explode with some Chinese/Japanese (most likely Japanese given him being a samurai) sign in the center of each.
One stage I remember was fighting in a huge arena against a gigantic robot while the audience in both sides would throw various stuff into the arena (non-harmful though as I recall).
The final boss (of the final stage) had two or three stages of fighting, and I recall it being a whole castle-like robot thingy
That's about as much as I can recollect of it. I hope it rings a bell with some one.
Thanks for reading.

Heheh. Sorcer Striker, aka Mahou Daisakusen. 1993. Raizing.
The samurai lizard you speak of is Miyamoto The Dragon.
The stage you speak of is the final stage, I do believe. Stage 6. Beat it and the game loops itself.

My latest video on youtube is a replay of myself clearing the first loop of Sorcer Striker. You should watch it if you're interested.
Here's the final stage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7bHrC51YHI

Ruldra, I've actually seen it already
After I learned the name of the game I sought it out in many places, and your video was one of the things I encountered.
And since then I've played it a bit, but I must say I miss the joystick and the big buttons to mash. I can hardly believe how I could complete the first loop and then some on one credit those years back. Ah, good times...

But try as I might I got no results when Googling no matter how I tried to vary it; Sorceror Strike, Sorcerous Strike, Sorcerer's Strike, etc., so I'm glad I found this site and asked.
