Good online gaming shop with US games

I am asking this for a friend. After recently discovering Liksang and Play-Asia (Through me ), this friend of mine wants to start importing games by himself (Don't forget that, for us, to buy an US game IS TO import ), but both Liksang and Play-Asia has most JPN games.

So, where could he buy US games online? We just found that buying games from Play-Asia ror Liksang is a lot cheaper than buying from our own stores (A PS2 game costs, in average, US$ 100 here)... so I reckon that buying directly from US will probably be cheaper too..

Paying upwards of $100 USD for US region video games is too much. It should be more likewards of $60-$70 (with shipping included). I'll be glad to offer assistance in buying some US games for your friend. Just send a PM and we can work out the details.

When the latest USA video games come out, they are only $40-$50 USD. By paying $100 USD per game, you're getting raped.

I like VideoGameDepot.com. They sell both US and JP stuff. They don't accept international credit cards, but they do accept PayPal (verified accounts only) and money orders.

National Console Support (ncsxshop.com) carries US software, and will ship internationally as well.

GameStop and EB are options, but you'll have to do a bit of legwork before they process your order. You'll need to call your credit card company and tell them to "release address verification information to <insert store here>". Gamestop goes a step further and wants a faxed or emailed copy of your current credit card statement. Yikes.

And then there's always ebay/half.com. A lot of those sellers will ship abroad.

There's a trick not to pay tariffs, which worked for me, but I don't recall right now what it is... I'll ask some people at another board.

You know, I'm curious. We can be very mad and pissed off that the Japanese get certain games and we don't. I wonder if they get mad because we have games that they don't?

Probably not due to most US games aren't really worth playing.

The Japanese get most US titles through Virgin or Ubisoft usually. And they don't sell for crap anyway.

I did read that due to very lacking sales of the Xbox, Burnout 3 was not released in Japan on the Xbox. Famitsu did rate it quite highly on the ps2 though and it sold rather well for a Western game.

I heard that some Genesis titles go for $200+ in Japan, can't remember the names of them though.

Yeah, I was surprised to see how much some Japanese versions of Genesis games are. There are some worthy imports, but there aren't many games brought over that were butchered (SoR III is debatable. Some people actually like the US one better). It's very shocking to see the Japanese True Lies for Genesis over 100 dollars and the Japanese Maximum Carnage selling for over 400 pounds (about 800 and something in US dollars) from a UK seller. Two imports that I'll definatly be avoiding.
