Im getting close to a million, I really am.......

I'll start on 5-minute mode tomorrow. I already know that 2nd boss is DEFINITELY going to piss me off.

Finally got it!

Once again:

Star Soldier R, 2-minute mode:

Bridget - 1,004,000

Finally got a full 1000 combo, and didnt miss those 2 eye things at the end this time.

Something about this game breaks my mind. I've only gotten one "named" bonus (the 80,000 from riding the ring), so my score is only 310K or something (from a few minutes playing today; my previous high was about 50K worse).

SSS has a half-autofire thing. Solution: autofire toggle switch. I know Magic Engine has one. Toggle it and see.

Taken me ages to post this slight improvement...

Star Soldier R - 2 Minute mode:
spadgy - 887,300

Not sure what I'm missing to get a higher score. I get inside the ring whilst holding the score, and kill all those flat spinning disks fast. The orbs at the end is a bit 50/50 on whether I get the bonus. Is there some magic trick on the final to 'closing eye domes' right before the boss?

You just have to pop them both at the same time, nothing more than that.

As long as you remember when they're gonna show up, and have your weapon maxed, it's not too hard to get into position to strike them.

They're definitely an important bonus to get though, since they're worth so much. Keep practicing and you'll get it

Im starting to work on 5-minute mode myself...... I'll post new scores for 2-minute later.

One of the games where the more I play in one sitting, the WORSE I get. Like, I'll start off getting 150-160 hits by the time the first platforms dissappear, but on subsequent runs I'm lucky if I break 140.

I think those are the floating eyes, not the Delilahs (the ones at the end)
