bought a somewhat, but not totally*, mainstream mag today (GamesTM - Dutch version) mentioning it as well. :)

Though they cover lots of retro like stuff, getting mention on a homebrew title surprised me (and made me smile).

*They seem to know their shmups fairly well. And write about them quite a bit. Even some 3 Wonders attention and R-type too in the last magazine. That and they had a little piece on TriggerHeart Excelica

Funny how there are ratings for the game without it being available yet ^^

The hucast blog now says 28th August release, thought it was supposed to be much sooner than that.

as usual... it's done when it's done.

deadline/release dates should mostly be seen as estimates.

I don't care about having to wait longer on this, as long as time is spend to improve the game.

Why would anyone buy this from NCSX as opposed to directly from Hucast (assuming they'd buy this game in the first place)?

Trust people have been buying from ncsx forever and a day. See a new game come out from someone you've never heard of, you may feel a little iffy about buying from them.

NCSX has had pretty good service if i remember correctly.

Yes you should remember correctly.
Fantastic customer service and always correct in dealing even if there are some probs.

Service as it should be.

Then again, I feel comfortable buying through HuCast as well (though I can't back up that feeling yet.)

Do take care, as some problems with ordering through NCSX have cropped up down the bottom of the second page of the Shooting Historica Gashapon thread.

That said, I've always found NCSX to be fantastic.

Does anyone know if this will play natively in a US DC, or will it require a Utopia-like process? I ask because my DC is suffering from the situation where I had to tie back the black lid-lever just to get the thing to boot, and I don't fancy having to pull & release the thing constantly to boot this game, or feel like I have to buy a new DC just to play it. I plan on replacing my DC at some point (unless someone else has a suggestion for how I can fix that issue permanently), but in the mean time I'd like to be able to pre-order the game & have confidence that I'll be able to play it.

No, it will work natively on every console, since it's region free - plus it's just a regular CD-R. Only original GD-Rs have region protection.

Does anyone else occasionally forget that they pre-ordered this? I'm sure I'll be awfully surprised when it arrives in the mail.

Postponed till 28 September for now.

As long as extra time is used to fine tune/polish the game I guess it's fine.

That kinda sucks but I suppose it won't clash with STGT now.

That's more like what happens when I notice I have two copies of the same expensive game, and still no (insert must-have thing here)

Whenever I look at my Dreamcasts, my first thought is "I wonder how much I can get for this on eBay."

So far, that thought has always been followed with the realization that I haven't even received DUX yet.

The soundtrack is awesome, quite a few slow tracks on there though. Makes me think the problem from Last Hope will arise again where the music was much too slow for what was going on.

Reads like a rip-off of Border Down, which is certainly no bad thing.

If you're going to rip someone off (or borrow ideas, as they like to say), may as rip off something good. I certainly won't be complaining!

Is anyone else relieved that they didn't rush this game out the door, like it sounded they could? It's been delays a few times now - though the September 28th release date is still solid. Just ten more days...

I am certainly glad that they keep delaying the game. I can wait for a good game, no doubt about that!

Even more Time
24.09.08

While DUX is already in very good shape, it takes more time to finishing and publishing this game. Of course we use the time to make the game better to meet the high quality bar aimed.

To preinvent another delays, an exact relase date is to be announced when the game is finished.
