If Milestone won´t do a Chaos Field 2 (preferably on DC) I´ll not soon (notice: never say never!) buy one of their games again.
Karous was the lousiest shmup on the DC by "miles" and I won´t buy this blindly even if it gets a DC release (which it probably won´t). :x

But you haven't even played this one yet, have you? How do you know it's bad?

Also, anyone see the new page yet? I'm at a loss for words.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

I'm too busy jerking off to the character art.
Sounds like every Touhou fan out there...
Maikeru_Rocks wrote:Dudes it seems that everybody is bashing Milestone Inc. for no reason, why would they put out a game if they didn't think it would be good?, also so what if they use cel-shaded graphics in their games, I don't see anyone else doing it. Milestone Inc. is awesome developer, me being a Dreamcast fan and collector I happy to own and play Chaos Field, Radirgy
and Karous and my japanese Dreamcast. MILESTONE INC. RULES! :D

I second that. Hopefully, they'll get on that Crow (plus perhaps Radio Allergy) Wii port now that they're done developing this.

how the hell was karous lousy ? looked great soundtrack was sublime and thge scoring was deep enough to obviously confuse enough ppl judging by the lack of decent scores / scores full stop , to say you dont like it is one thing but to say its lowsy is pure ignorance i suppose everything cave do is amazing huh

It's nice to have companies doing things their own way, afterall that is what Cave have been doing all this time.

First impression is that Illvelo looks a bit clunky and slow though. Big main ship, big enemies and big bullets.
It is powerup of laser.

Looked nice??? I think it looks terrible, definitely a stepdown from Radirgy imo (even though I should like the style better).
It really is a cheaply adapted radirgy, only not as fun and also too short and easy. Saving grace is the ost, especially the final boss music rocks my socks.

Also the lack of decent scores could be more due to a lack of people interested in getting into the game than the scoring system.
i suppose everything cave do is amazing huh
Though I like some of their work, I am not even close to being a fanboy of any sorts there.
Hell, I don't even like the original DDP much... (It's still better than Karous though.;))

This looks fantastic. I love the enemy and background designs, which were one of the most uninspired aspects of Radirgy. Also, gameplay seems to be different enough from Radirgy/Karous so that people won't have too much to complain about (wtf is that "bonus stage" appearing from the middle of nowhere?) and the whole web browser thing is very original.

Can't wait to play it on my... uh... Wii? Oh, nevermind then. :?

Aww, Spring Rain had more remixes. What's Illvelo's soundtrack like anyway? All the videos I've seen of it have too much background noise.

I really wish there was more info on this game. I can barely find anything about the game system anywhere. Has anyone played it yet?

For those that wanted to hear a sample of the OST, Super Sweep have posted a mix track featuring bits from most of the album.

so where can i (pre-)order this ost?

from the samples it doesn't sound as captivating to me as the karous or chaosfield osts but there appears to be some good stuff on there.

Coco EBiz are very reliable. They don't have it available for pre-order yet, but if you send them the product link, they'll normally place an order for several copies.

Personally, I figured I'd wait for Champs des Pins on EBay to get ahold of some copies and just order from him.

I don't think they've divulged the release date, is why. AFAIK, Milestone's site just says "please wait a bit longer".
