should play guxt NORMAL mode that would be alot of fun

Guxt is a good idea. Its gameplay is very close to classic 80s shmups, and it has great music. Also, moderately hard, and allows saving replays. Sounds like a perfect candidate.

Guxt is not that difficult, most of your scoring enhancement would be with figuring out the best place to suicide and get more points (unless there's some sort of no miss bonus at the end). Score attack would counter that at least, though, since it only gives you one life for entire game.

this tournament covers several weeks with each week having a game which has been (somewhat) democratically voted for.

And no, asking for clarification was not a bad idea.

It's a tournament where the people who signed up to play certain shmups over five play weeks spend each week bitching about the shmups chosen ;) :lol:
