Cleared dodonpachi without shooting

Post by zubiri »

Yes!!! I can clear dodonpachi using just the arrows to move. I use continues but if i get better i can use no continues so it will be a
No miss(not certain),No continues, No bombs, No bullets clear.(
That'd be a nice accomplishment but i need to make it great , I mean if i just throw the video on youtube as i made it, it would lack accomplishment and others may steal mi technique.
I have to make it seen by many people and people know I was the first to ever make it. Besides i took 2Hours to clear the game like this and when i speeded up the boring parts it got to 20 or 30 Minutes at least.
On the video I will at first turn off the bombs and shooting inputs and maybe i'll turn off the menu input and speed it up in such a way that people wont be able to know how I beat the game without shooting and when the video becomes more popular i'll put the original version of 8-10 minutes.

about that umm i tried this, Kinda trailer (NOT A TRAILER) but i show parts of the game clear from lvl 1-1 to final of 1-6 like this I turn on the game start recording, I show how I put on the inputs and turn off bombs and shooting, then i put general inputs and turn off inputs so you see how I cannot put on the fire when you are not seeing it. But now i wanna play normal dodonpachi and can't reset the inputs back to normal, anyone know how to reset it?

You need to do one of two things for anyone to take this thread seriously.

1: Update your profile and put that your location is from some place amazingly far from any English speaking nation.
2: Hire a 3rd grader to proof read your post(s).

If you don't like my accomplishment neither my way of speaking then stop bugging because i worked hard on it and worked harder on my english I have the english level of a 5th grade boy on any english based school. Stop bugging me and don't post on this thread again unless you have anything good to say.
Besides what exactly does "Hire a 3rd grader to proof read your post(s)." mean?
EDIT:just found a way to change the general and ingame inputs without using the ingame menu.Don't bother looking for a way too ty if u did.

It means do one or the other. If English isn't your native language, that's fine. There's tons of horrible English speakers here, and they are given tons of slack. On the flip side, the interweb (even here) is rife with idiots that refuse to use punctuation though. In such a case, would be readers will simply discard the message.

i dont think its possible due to all the homing popcorn enemies.

often on crappy runs i just stop shooting and play around just trying to survive shit, might be possible using an emulator but certainly not if youre going mano-a-mano with the game.

Worst topic ever.
Not releasing a video because the stuff you've accomplished is just TOO AWESOME!!1 probably is the most ridiculous behaviour I could think of.
FIRST relaese the vid, THEN tell us how awesome you are. It doesn't work the other way 'round. You fail.
Oh and punctuation really is a good thing, yes.

Ummm...so you can't actually do it then. Because I've tried just for shits and giggles and a lot of enemies fly right into you and I've estimated that it's virtually impossible. But hey, make an actual video (without continuing) and prove me wrong.

Yeah, I'd imagine the bullet swarms in the middle of the stage are unavoidable if left on screen for long enough.

I'd like to be proved wrong though, so good luck zubiri.

This reminds of a fake post a loooong time ago from whoever (Matt or Malc or ?) that stated that he could clear DonPachi blind folded while taking a dump...

Anyway if what you say is true I would advise you not to post your video on youtube. The Cave police will come after you; you are not supposed to play Cave games that way, the use of the fire button is mandatory.

If you sat down with 1-3 and figured out how to easily do sweeps with the bullets of all the helicopter enemies, the entire level wouldn't actually be so difficult to do. The later part of the stage that fills up with those bullets can easily be avoided by sitting at the very top of the screen (and then moving around a little every so often).

I must be missing something, he said he used continues

surely you could just sit on your ass doing nothing, and then press start to continue every so often when you get a game over, surely eventually you'd make it to the end. who knows. I can't be bothered to try.

now , on 1 credit, sure, achievement.

I'd imagine if that can be done then there is no reason why the 1cc isn't possible. I wouldn't like to try it though, I can see the second half of stage 5 being brutal and waiting for the boss timeouts would grate on the nerves very quickly.

I say keep at it for the nomiss no continue clear (0 score), which is an order of magnitude harder than a no miss with continues. This would be an amazing accomplishment.

For those that say its impossible, its already been done in Mushihemesama as evidenced by the nomiss 0 scores on the arcade highscore website (homeing enemy an all).

A 1cc 0 point no miss clear is impossible because of the end of stage bonus. Also, Mushi is a lot easier than this.

Hmm...doesn't Mushi have a nomiss end of stage bonus too? So maybe the 0 scores in mushi were not nomiss to avoid this?

I don't know how Mushi works, but once you no miss a stage in DDP, you start getting a bonus again, even if you've already died on a previous stage.

Mushi, like DDP also throws a crap bonus at you for a no miss (even if you have previously messed up).
