Gosh. Well, if you can't play the game for score, you can at least play it for the 1LC. Maybe this is the first step.moozooh wrote:Version 1.0 2-ALL by "Suzuna" (?).
This is a pure survival run, without any kind of showing off (except 2-1 secret midboss, that one was hilarious). Final score is 4.39 bil (yeah, less than what the counterstop dude had by the boss of 1-3) The player doesn't use hypers until like 1-5, and bombs actively to break off chains (?) and kill bosses faster. I guess the purpose was to avoid aggravating the rank. And let's say he has succeeded in that.

Nothing new I see (yet), but the changes aren't gameplay changing. Pull through, Cave...

They kind of did change it. The almost-20k hit chain seen in one of the YT vids doesn't even net 80 bil. There's no way to tell if it was as good a chain as the counterstop one, but it seems they tweaked the chaining in a whole another way: further inflated hit count, and maybe increased the enemy hit cost, but lowered the overall bonus increase exponent as well, making the chains more evenly leveled.

Pretty sure the +Bonus is more important in determining score than the hit counter. Hit Counter can get really inflated by canceling bullets, but killing large enemies tends to really jack up the +Bonus meter. The large ship the guy dies on adds almost 1 million points to the +Bonus meter just by itself. The whole end part of the stage is really when the score starts to go crazy, so I'm betting you could still easily break 100b if not 200b by the end.

Some enemies have really high point value. Those laser shooting things (big things) on the sides of the screen at the first of stage 5 have (had?) a base value of like a million or something. Not hard to get the counter at ~2000 pretty quickly in the stage as well.

he autobombs just before destroying that big battleship thingie aswell which too has a big pointvalue (thus completeley ruining his score-run), he proboably bit his tounge off on thatone...

Many people that commented on this video on Nico Nico Douga said among the lines of:sven666 wrote:he autobombs just before destroying that big battleship thingie aswell which too has a big pointvalue (thus completeley ruining his score-run), he proboably bit his tounge off on thatone...
"Auto-bomb"
"Is that auto-bombing?"
"Is auto-bombing on?"
"Auto-bombing's here?"
I replied (in Japanese, of course): "Maybe it is auto-bombing."
Really, I'm not sure if he bombed at that moment or if the game forced a bomb off him.
it certainly is auto bomb.. look at the way he plays the rest of the stage, there is NO-WAY a player like that would ever throw a bomb out in a fairly easy pattern and just before the big bonus rolls in.

I haven't read the whole thread - too long (so this may be a repost). But the TLB has been no-missed already?

SiKrAiKeN: While I don't think everyone here -is- a Ninja Turtle, I DO believe everyone here has the potential to be a Ninja Turtle. No doubt.
Either way, ts clear he dodged the wrong way at the last millisecond and went into that V pattern, so he would have died anyway.sven666 wrote:it certainly is auto bomb.. look at the way he plays the rest of the stage, there is NO-WAY a player like that would ever throw a bomb out in a fairly easy pattern and just before the big bonus rolls in.
Yes, it's from two weeks ago actually. Zeether first originally youtubed it without telling anyone; I discovered the original video a few hours later on b-board tracker and uploaded it myself. I also took the liberty to upload it and the subsequent complete 2-ALL survival run to Super-Play, which should appear there very soon.landshark wrote:I haven't read the whole thread - too long (so this may be a repost). Yeah, only in ver 1.0 though, so it's not really relevant any more. In ver 1.5 the safe spots are gone, the bullets are sped up, and the life gauge goes down slower.landshark wrote:I haven't read the whole thread - too long (so this may be a repost). But the TLB has been no-missed already?

Haha, really? I wonder how is it going to be fought this time, then… Since hypers lose their bullet-canceling property pretty soon in this fight, I'd guess there will have to be at least 2-3 deaths for bomb style and even more for the power style, just so that players could have some bullet management.
Does the autobombing in 1.5 work exactly as one would expect? As in, a bullet hits the hitbox, and the bomb is released, or is there something else?
