Mamoru-kun ha norowareteshimatta! (G.Rev, Emphasis on the !)
if i just watched that intro without knowing what it was about i would not have known it was about a shmup. some footage of the game would have been nice but it's a nice intro otherwise, yes.
warning: a huge warning sign is approaching fast!

Fixed. But your theory holds some water, I'll give you that much.Zebra Airforce wrote:So if Border Down was Metal Black, and Under Defeat was that early Taito heli shooter, I guess that means this is Kiki Kaikai.
I'd be interested in seeing up-to-date game footage, but soon enough it will leak out.

Via Majoria - soundtrack coming out August 20th. Info here.
A ton of screen shots: http://www.famitsu.com/game/news/1216815_1124.html
Graphically disappointing, but at least the game looks intense!

SOUNDSHOCK
So it uses Naomi... Looks pretty hectic so guess that's why the graphics look so bad? A fuckton of bullets everywhere?
Funny how they always point out the name and the age... XXXX: UNDERAGED.
I bet the fourth character is actually a goddess or some 1k years entity.

NOW REACHES THE FATAL ATTRACTION BE DESCRIBED AS "HELLSINKER". DECIDE DESTINATION.
Man...you folks are just plain stinkin' harsh. I mean, sure: it may not be the most detailed game there ever was, but to me, in terms of graphics, I think it looks boss.P_HAT wrote:And yes, game looks like ass.
And yes, I realize that using the word "boss" like that dates/nerdifies me, but I don't care.

*sigh*
Looks great in any case.
I'm almost sure we'll eventually get a 360 port.

At any rate, this game looks pretty cool, actually. At first I wasn't feeling it, but after that last video it looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Vid makes it look like there's a ton of variety and some interesting play mechanics.
Tho it's colourful, I still think aesthetically it's a bit crap - Under Defeat and Border Down both looked better. This looks like PS1.5 or something, which is a shame considering technology these days.
If the in game graphics were 2D and similar to the character portraits, we'd be in business!
Still, looking forward to it.
