Question about japanes X-box360-live-arcade

Post by jochen »

Hello to everybody - I hope someone can answer my question.

I have the chance to get a japanese X-box 360, so I will be able
to play "Raiden Fighters" and in the future Raiden IV and the new
Cave-shooter.

At the moment I own a european X-box 360. I downloaded
Ikaruga, Omega Fighter, Time Pilot, Mutant Storm Empire
and other titles.

I am waiting for 1942 and Galaga Legions.

My question is: are there some exclusive download-games for the
japanese X-box-live arcade ( shmups or Run and shoot) ????

And if so - how is the quality of this games ? What do you think
about the future for the japanese X-box-live arcade ?

Thanks in advance for your answers and your time (and I hope my
english is understandable - because I am 36 years old, school is long
over and I am short before my midlife-crisis :D ).

I know there is Trigger Heart Excelia for sure.
It's not my cup of tea but some claim it's great.

Trigger Heart Exelia is available in the european version of
X-box-live arcade.

I ´ve alredy looked on "xbox.com/jp" and the titles I ´ve found seem
to be the same than in europe.

But on the other side - I have no knowledge in japanes ( except some
words I ´ve learned watching "Shogun" in the 80´s  ). So there
might be a chance I ´ve overseen some games which I might like.

So - if anyone knows more than me post your knowledge.

There are some exclusive games, but no shmups or run-and-gun. I can't imagine you'd be too interested in CLANNAD.

Trigger Heart is available in America and Japan. I'm not sure about Europe though. (is it?)

You can create a Japanese account and d/l stuff. I know for sure you can d/l Japanese demos with a Japanese account. I dunno about buying stuff though. I've never tried it.

Basically, you're not missing out on any XBLA games. There's some Japanese-only gamerpics and themes, though..

I thought Microsoft put the kibosh on people making foreign Live accounts?

Ahh well, maybe so. I didn't know. But I know people used to do it.

Well, that's totally silly of Microsoft.

If people are wanting to d/l out of region content that should be telling Microsoft something... like, give us that content. Simple... But they wont listen, cause it makes too much sense.

Yeah I just made a JP account also to get RFA Demo, and I found a bitchin' new puyo puyo gamerpic while I was there. The JP marketplace is weak though. very little on it, unless you want more demos of crappy EA insert sport title here games. It isn't any wonder the xbox sells like shit over there.

Thanks for all your replies and answers.

It seems to quite good that I waited before buying this japanese
X-Box 360 - "Ring of death".

Saved money - how good can a day be ???
