First loop is finally done, but 2-1 is just brutal  I think it will take me a fair bit of practice to get the better of it.

Cheers IlMrm, its my first time into the loop of a psikyo game, so I was quite happy.

I've been on a bit of a psikyo binge at the moment and SA seemed like the easiest 1-ALL to go for. Not sure if I'll improve on this score or step up a gear to Gunbird.

Not exactly a stellar score but it will remind me to come back later and get that loop.

Nice one! I guess you didn't hate the game enough to not stick with it to the end. :)

A second-loop clear! That's too awesome.

Working on a 1-All myself. Progress so far:

I hadn't intended to play again. Credit to professor ganson. It's a solid game and I can kind of see why fans of the early Psikyo games don't like (have problems with) the later games. Everything seems so small now. It'll take a while to readjust.

Sengoku Cannon:

1,781,600 - Koyori - 1-5

For some reason this found it's way into my PSP again. The first four stages are easy as pie, but that final boss is a killer on the small screen.

Sengoku Ace: 456.200 - lgb - 1-6 - Gennai

No-missing to stage 5 is a good sign. Pausing in Psikyo games is generally bad. Using a bomb on the river butsu-tekkai actually works. I do not see any practical use in collecting coins.

Reasons to play as Gennai:
-Two man crew.
-It's an X-Wing.
-The only ship not on the high score screen at boot.

Is Aine playable in Blade (and how do you get Marion)?

Is Aine pronounced like "shine", or "pain"?

To get Aine, select the randomizer, then press Ux3 Dx3 Ux7. I pronounce it "pain" but dunno. Dunno how to get Marion.

I think he says his own name upon selection in Blade, and rhymes it with "shine," so I've always gone with that. Also makes sense with him missing an eye and "Ein" being German for "one," although I've no idea whether that's intentional or not.

As for Marion, she's Saturn-only (not arcade or PS2) in case it's any help.

from this site

"Sengoku Blade - Sengoku Ace Epidode II

Play as Marion
To play as Marion you must beat the game once with each character (including Shine Ayn) in a one-player game on any difficulty level without switching characters during each game.

After defeating the game with all characters, go to the far right Random Select symbol and press Up. Marion will appear. To get Shine Ayn again, press Up twice."

Sengoku Blade

Mero - 829,200 - 1-7 - Koyori - PS2

I've actually cleared the first loop with Ayin and Ennice, but my highest score is with Koyori, thanks to her heat-seeking bullets

Never thought I'd beat a loop of a Psikyo game one day.
