The GS's around here just started putting it on shelves recently, though it technically released back in February...they put them straight into the "used" section, though, even though they weren't actually used.I'm Alec wrote:Thank you Kiken, I'm going to fish this one out. I'll start looking today, though I doubt gamestop will have it. Hope its good.
If you want some impressions by me and others, look near the end of this thread.
EDIT: So apparently I'll be buying this one off of you once you're sick of it after 2 days, Rob?

After scaring away all the fans with kusogame BT, they're playing it safe. I won't blame them for that.Rob wrote:Well, I'm not excited because I think it will be good, but it is something new to play! Honestly, it looks like they may be retreading too much. TF4 wasn't as good as it is by remaking 3.Turrican wrote:Hey you said something like "in all honesty a sixth would only be worse" last time
Anyway... GBA Astroboy is among my top five GBA carts. To have the same guy on the project is a good thing.

If anyone can provide a really high res scan (enough for me to make out the small print clearly), I'd be willing to work on a translation (though it might take a while since work is keeping me busy.)

NUH-UH!!!!!!Blast Wind 2 would be much more welcomed than a Hyper Duel 2.
hyper duel over blast wind any day for me. I own both and hyper duel was kinda boring for me.... it became ok after cranking the difficulty to max.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Isn't that a contradiction in terms? (Maybe that was intentional!?) If there are so many games worth having for a console, isn't that console worth having by default? I know that if the controller made the games worse or something similar, that would change things, apart from the fact then the games wouldn't be 'worth having' in the first place.Stormwatch wrote:Oh, sad times, when so many games worth having come to a console so NOT worth having...
I just can't understand why anybody would dislike a console when they like the games for it. For me, a console is defined by the games, not the machine itself. Or rather, I can't understand disliking or liking a console - it's the catologue of games that's important to me...

Heh, if anything, I'd say PS2 has the best shmup lineup of all the consoles that came out in the past 10 years, especially if you consider the PS1 library it includes via backward compatibility.

There are still some who are stuck in the Nintendo vs. Sega -mentality of yesteryear and refuse to even consider a console rivalling their own favourite, even when all kinds of cool games are available for it.spadgy wrote:I just can't understand why anybody would dislike a console when they like the games for it.
The rest of us just laugh at them and enjoy good games while ignoring the silly fanbois.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Geez, being the TFIV fanboy I am, I can't believe this went under my radar so long! I should have checked back on this forum days ago! I have yet to purchase a flip-top case & swap magic for my PS2 due to my (slightly) waning interest in gaming, though that has been rekindled somewhat of late. When I saw this announcement, however, I immediately started pricing out options! I am STOKED about this! I'm hoping for a domestic release, but even at the $60 price point I can't pass up the opportunity to play a new TF game! I guess I'll have to finally break down & buy that used copy of TFV that has been taunting me
