Looking for a Muchimuchi Pork superplay

Post by Vincere »

As the title says. I'm desperately looking for one for months but can't seem to find one anywhere. A .avi one would be super great.

Technically, he was just playing on Harder Mode (which basically is the second loop from Extended, I suppose). I don't think I've seen anyone post videos of an all clear for Extended Mode.

He was playing Manpuku mode. This is different from the second loop (which you can also play from the start in Harahara mode). There is no selectable Extended mode, unlike Ibara and Pink Sweets - you have to 1 life the normal mode's first loop to enter the second loop.

A one-life clear on a Raizing-style game? Wouldn't that be really difficult considering the use of rank control and all?

It's not as hard with MMP. The rank isn't nearly as bad as Ibara, or any of the Raizing stuff.

It's amazingly counter intuitive though, as dying gives you bombs, which in turn gives you points. Kind of a goofy game to put a loop in I think. I should try the other crazy modes for shits and giggles. Need to get my board out.

You still get bombs by just picking up loads of bomb fragments. In ISO's 2-ALL superplay, he has 5 bombs in stock in stage 5, and uses them all up on the last boss to get into the loop.

I don't think the second loop requirement is counter intuitive or goofy, it's just a good challenge. No harder than Ketsui's Ura loop requirement, and people don't complain about that or claim it's counter intuitive. Your own preconceived notions of what a Yagawa game "should" be lead to your labeling it as counter-intuitive. Incidentally, that's also the same reason why so many people have problems dealing with Pink Sweets infinite lives feature.

1-ALL WRs peak at the 250mil range, while the 2-ALL record is over 300mil. So if you want the top scores in the game, you have to get into the loop.

that's true, but it's a shame playing 2 loops isn't more rewarding though :? you're playing approximately twice as long for 20% more overall score. the game shoulda just had three extra modes ala pink sweets 8) 1 loop, 2 loop (no requirements), harahara, and manpuku. cool game though

Bleh. The extended mode thing was done to death in Ibara and Pink Sweets. I'm glad Yagawa tried something new.

That was my point. You sacrifice points by forfeiting boss milking to get to the 2nd loop. Ketsui's 2nd loop requirement requires you to not only play flawlessly, but to score high as well. = more intuitive. The name of these games is score.

I think EOJ said it best in his review of the game: Yagawa has a cruel sense of humour 8)
