I admit I was surprised by the large number of cores in the trailer, but aside from the objective similarities it doesn´t have the same "vibe" to me. Reminds me more of Gradius IV, somehow. Maybe it´s the graphics...

Maybe he's just a jealous and jaded fan of yours MX7, enraged by Elixir's proclomation of Love for you.

It's alright Dante. We're all in love with MX7. It used to be quite awkward around this forum as we all jostled for his affection, but time is a healer, even if this forum is littered with broken hearts.

it is either that or play using the right analog stick, which means using the shit 360 controller.

Current sticks rendered useless

Actual listed price is at $359.90 USD...a mere 10 cents less than the asking even price of $360.00. Mucho expensive bundled package alrighty. ^_~

Can one tell, from the descriptions available, how good this stick is going to be? If the high price is just for the art or novelty, then count me out.

The japanese site makes mention of the actual parts. Sanwa JLF-TM-8T-SK-GT-B for the stick and Sanwa OBSF-30 for buttons. So, arcade spec then.

However, the price is still high compared to other sticks, which is due to the novelty touch pad.

Thanks, nem. A touch pad? Odd, I wonder what you can do with that.

Well, NCSX appologized for the high price stating that since it's Konami Style, they could only obtain the sticks by paying retail for them.. then factor in shipping costs and it really ballooned the price.

Yesterday I noticed that the preorders for the game + stick had sold out at Play-Asia. Surprising, given how expensive. I was thinking about it, but now...

I think Play-Asia got a small quantity from Konami to sell. At least they sold out all of them. Proves there's still die-hards who's willing to buy. I'm going to just get the game. :)

Yup. Kind of strange though. Raiden IV went through a delay to Oct 2nd cos of improving the game and now Otomedius is doing the same? Ah well. Making improvements to the game ensures we get a better quality product. :)

I had seen the trailer before that one and it looked at least halfway decent. Boy, does the game look shitty in this newer one. Unless people totally rave about the unexpectedly fantastic gameplay I'm not gonna drop 50+ bucks for it.

Makes R-Type Dimensions shitty 3-d graphics look better than this. Im on the fence with this now as well.

It seems to play a lot like gradius/parodius and I'm happy with that.

So... are there any sites that have been able to secure more preorders of the joystick bundles? Or is there some way for me to get a third party to order from Konamistyle?

I'm shuddering just thinking of the eBay markup on these fucking things.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Right after the dashboard update. I have a feeling the delay was so that Konami could somehow integrate Otomedius related stuff into the Avatars.

Why are you trusting magicbox over the official website that lists it as a retail release for 6980 yen, released on 11/20? They even show the official box art there. Magicbox is frequently wrong on stuff like this.
