Raiden Fighters Compilation heading to the Xbox 360
So, I saw this achievement:
"Score 100,000,000 (50) Acquired score 100,000,000 over (difficulty : NORMAL or above)"
Is this a total score across all 3 games or a total score in a single game? Because if it's for a single game, that's very close to the WR and an almost impossible to obtain achievement. The rest seem pretty easy, though.
So, what's the deal?

I want the patch. Not only because of the Glitches which I have experimented not much because I play hardly 3h in a row. But there will be Friendlist options in the Scoremenu and you can see the Total Playtime of the Game (usefull for the achievements.
Bring it on!
btw: there is a new blog entry on their site concerning the patch

Single game. The score-based achievements are the only ones that provide any real challenge in the game.Elixir wrote:So, I saw this achievement:

Then, how do you explain the Xbox Live players who have scores below 100 mill, yet have the achievement?E. Randy Dupre wrote:Single game. The score-based achievements are the only ones that provide any real challenge in the game.Elixir wrote:So, I saw this achievement:

You can fiddle with gamesaves to open up achievements that you've not actually gained, but I'm not sure how. Seems to defeat the object, but there's no accounting for the idiocy of some people.
You'll also find profiles of 360 owners who've apparently managed to start and then complete ten or more games in a single day.
Anyway, the achievements in RFA that are based on combined games are all marked as such. And I've easily played the thing enough times to get a combined score of well over 100,000,000, but I've not opened that one (or the 50,000,000 for that matter).

ONE THING that really bothers me is that you never see the Title Screen of each game when you choose the game. It isn't like in the arcade where you can see the intro (demo) and the highscore screen. You just choose and start the game in the main menu and you go directly to the Shipselection Screen without seeing the the title screen. I don't think this gonna be fixed within the next patch release ?!
Anyone feels the same?

Thanks for the update plasmo. There's so many shmup releases happening lately, it'll be difficult to get them all by the end of the year.Plasmo wrote:You can preorder the OST now:

I have indeed noticed that. There's absolutely NO WAY that you can get all Gears of War achievements in a single day, or all Crackdown ones, or all DMC4 ones. One thing I have noticed is that some people have the same game from different regions on their account, for example: Eternal Sonata and Trusty Bell, both giving 1000 points each.E. Still. I don't understand how these people have obtained those achievements and don't have scores that high. Would they really cheat with these titles, too? That's a bit insane.
Anyway, which game is the easiest to get 100,000,000 in?

I know, but some people are just desperate. There's also a bunch of US 360 owners who've supposedly managed to get the full whack of achievements in obscure, untranslated SRPGs. I own one of the games in question myself, and without a thorough understanding of the language that's simply impossible - I've not even managed to make enough progress in it to get *one* of its achievements, and it's not like I'm unfamiliar with the genre.Elixir wrote:Still. What is the game called?E. Randy Dupre wrote:I know, but some people are just desperate. Also, what I don't understand is that I've seen people with 200/200 for SotN, and the Japanese version of SotN too. So.. they made a secondary (Japanese) account and downloaded the game twice so that they could cheat for their main account? That's ridiculous.
But yeah. I actually know someone who does this. He openly admitted to doing it to me and he "doesn't care about his gamerscore" yet he has things like Blazing Angels 1000/1000'd in a single day. Talk about making it obvious.
Also, in order for them to have 1000/1000 on Japanese titles like Eternal Sonata (Trusty Bell), they'd need to have a Japanese 360.. right? In order for the games to run? I just assume this is exploiting saved games. Example:
http://www.xboxtags.com/details/UAE+BOSS
So, he has the Japanese locked Shin Sangoku Musou (Dynasty Warriors), locked Trusty Bell, locked iDOLM@STER, and.. holy shit! Looking at this, he last played DMC4 on the 12/15/2007, but the game wasn't even RELEASED then. It didn't come out until February.

The SRPG I'm talking about is Absolute: Blazing Infinity. Muddling through the menus is easy enough, if you know the genre, but there's a bit right at the beginning of the game proper where everything locks off - you can't make the story progress and it feels very much as though you've exhausted all the possible means of doing so. I suspect that the instruction on what needs to be done is contained within some of the character dialogue - I'm not the only person who's imported the thing and had this problem.
Some games - like Castlevania - don't tie their different regional versions together. In other words, the version of SotN that the US and Europe got doesn't register on the 360 as being the same game as the Japanese version. Those games are in the minority, but they exist. And that's how you see people with the achievements for games twice. Viva Pinata's another example.
You don't need to have the games in order to cheat the system into registering their achievements against your gamertag, though. Whatever the exploit is that allows you to falisfy your gamerscore, it doesn't require a copy of the game to work.

there is a word on the patch on the official blog. It's it late development process and nearly finished.Elixir wrote:Neither. There's no word on the patch.
But when it comes out, it will be a mandatory update. Account region shouldn't matter.
I heard that the game was a huge flop only about 3000 units were sold so I recommend to get the japanese original soon. But I have a strange feeling that this game will be released over here too... I mean there are lots of games that don't sell over 3k units.
3000 copies for a port of an old 2D shooter(though I imagine its sold a decent deal more by now) isn't that bad. I mean, its probably like 2 guys working on it, so I'm sure even selling 3000 it made the original investment back.
Oh, this came in the mail today. No JP360 with which to play it yet though.
