The last two times I had any alcohol at all I felt mildly (or very) poisoned. Odd considering I'm big enough that it shouldn't have any such effect on me.

Doing some clean up in my locker and god damn there is a hell of a lot of alcohol in here baby. And I'm so drunk I don't belive it. No way I get rid of this in one weekend. A shitload of beer, just picked another Carlsberg, finished that bottle of sherry but I've got one more (save that one for later) and I'm only half way through this bottle of "Gammel Dansk bitter dramm". Guess who's go running naked throug the woods tonight. Oh I'm ghonna puke so bad.

Aww man. I go clubbing while sick and the drink doesn't hit the spot even though I'm drinking way more than I should be.
Yet other times, I only drink a couple of beers or so, and I'm shitfaced.

I've been at the 400 beers shop in Brussels again

Rochefort 8 (9.2%) is currently my favourite.
Westmalle Tripel (9.5%) is harsher, but they work together with Rochefort being the chaser.
Still hitting Tongerloo, Val Dieu, Chimay, various Krieks and tried Moinette Brune. A bottle of Petrus still to be opened...

DEL, I found a site that has a pretty good stock of Belgian beers. I haven't been a huge fan of the few Belgians that I've tried so of the stuff you've had, what would you suggest? Have you had the Westvleteren beers? I found a site that sells them but they're $18 a bottle. I hear they're good but $18 per bottle is pretty steep.

Rando mentioned the Westvleteren beers of Saint Sixtus Trappist Abbey earlier in this thread. Only available at a smal drive up sales window of the abbey. I've travelled round Belgium a fair bit, but haven't got round to that particular Pilgrimage yet...

My recommendations are pretty much what I mentioned above. I don't like the weak lagers of the UK and USA, I only go for strong dark beers. Rochefort 8, Val Dieu Brune & Triple (a bit hard to find), Chimay Bleu - all very good.
As for Krieks (Cherry Beers) - Belle Vue Kriek is good (quite sweet).
Premium St Louis Kriek is very sweet.
Lindemans Kriek is almost right.
Bacchus Kriek is not so good.
Mort Subite Kriek is good if you want it much drier.

I didn't like Rodenbach and Orval does nothing for me.

I bought some Delerium Tremens coasters, but haven't got round to getting the whole schmeer - T Shirt & Cap.

This is a real winner. The Germans not only know how to engineer good cars and get F scores, they also know how to brew an excellent dark beer.

"Growing up" and playing video games have nothing to do with one another. You can be an adult, still play games, and continue to talk about them. I know some older people these days call video games a "kiddie" thing, but frankly, something's only kiddie when you think you're above playing it.

If it cheers you up, i got out of a relationship once because of puyo pop.
i played it with my ex gf and we called "playing puyo pop" for short something that would translate to "popping". Unfortunately, in german "poppen" is a synonym for having sex as well. so i asked my ex gf via sms if we wanted to go "poppen" sometime - actual gf read it and absolutely freaked out.
hope that was good for at least a laughter.
