Is a meaty hand or a spindly hand better for manipulating a joystick??

Slightly underweight. Because I usually eat twice a day.

I'm normal. Not fat, not skinny. I don't know why, but I can't figure a shmupper being awesomely fat. Shmups require a lot of movement.
I imagine the typical shmupper to be even slightly underweight too.
Alas, Ikaruga is going...
Undesired, unwanted them...
What makes them go?

Yes because pressing a button and moving a stick is quite a difficult process.

+1 :p
many video games require much more physical "effort" than STGs and you still don't have to not be overweight to play them well.

Skin & bones & fat.
I used to be underweight. Now I'm on the low end of the normal range for my height, but it's all fat. I've never exercised much, but I walked a lot in my daily routine until I became a cubicle troll. The concept of actually having to try to stay thin is new to me.

I'm maybe 5-10 pounds overweight - nothing that I obsess about, but I'm at least trying not to gain any more. Maybe one of these days I'll be motivated enough to get rid of my paunch, but not yet.

If you need a demotivation, try Wii Fit and its quirky obesity sensor

I'm pretty fit. I lift bricks into trucks most of my day.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.

I used to be way underweight but I've been gaining a bit (fat, not muscle) over the last few years. I think I am around 5'9" at 130 lbs or so.
My arms are still super weak and skinny, I ride a bike so I have deer legs with all my muscles concentrated in my thighs. Unfortunately I have been eating chocolate non-stop for the last 2 weeks or so, I'll become pretty bad soon.

I'm getting a big gut, but look relatively skinny with clothes on. I'm getting a beer belly FTW!

I go about 225-230 and I'm 5'7.5". So, yeah I'm pretty overweight. But, I hold my weight pretty well. I'm stocky. My thighs make up the majority of the weight, but they're not unshapely and/or unsightly. My ass is also pretty bulky, and I've got a distinctive boiler with love handles to match.
I try to exercise by riding my bike; it seems the more I do that - the hungrier I get. Then I'll lay off riding for a couple of days and then I'm screwed.

Hmm. 'Athletic' I would say. 6'1 and 75kgs.
Definitely need some BMI/DOJ graph plotted.

I'm still slightly overweight, but I'm working to remedy that problem. I'm currently 6' 2" and 214 lbs. This time last year I was 246 lbs.
Gogo exercise!

I'm usually in good shape. I walk every day and do 100 pull-ups (4 sets of 25). I can't get back to this routine until I recover fully from hernia surgery. Soon, hopefully. I hate watching my arms get skinny.
