Is anyone going to the VIDEO GAMES LIVE event that's taking place at Yonge and Dundas on Saturday?

If so, I propose we do some sort of meet-up.

I know Drakon wanted to go. Not too sure about myself .. I'm not too big on large public events.

Is this that Tommy Tallarico thing? That guy's a douchebag.

A meetup at the Pacific Mall or something would probably make more sense.

All Pacific Mall has is Raiden DX and Progear, so I don't really know if that's still worth it.

Tommy wasn't that much of a douche. At least not when he was rocking out all those Castlevania tunes with his guitar.

I don't live in the GTA anymore, so I don't know what arcades have what these days. I do remember going to Pacific Mall last year and playing Raiden DX....good times. Pretty good mall for electronics shopping, anyway.

Ah, well. There is a bowling alley one block over that has Raiden Fighters JET and Cannon Spike. I don't know if their Zero Gunner 2 still works though.

So the only decent shooter cabs are in Markham these days? I remember when there used to be some good arcades in the downtown area, but those are mostly gutted these days. I went to the one near Yonge and Dundas last year and the guy working there was a total creepshow.

The Yonge and Dundas arcade (aptly named Funland) is closing down effective July 31st. Apparently, some clothing shop is buying that space.

So yeah, either go to Markham for decent shmups or wait until jonny5's next meetup, I suppose.

All of Pacific Mall's cabinets are either Astro City or Versus City (for fighting games).

I'll definitely be up for the next meet.

Yea...it was weird seeing Raiden DX wedged in with a ton of fighting games.
Not complaining though...I love that game.

I would assume at this point, they would randomly rotate between Brave Blade and Raiden DX.

oh well....couple more months and hopefully i will have my own ketsui....or mushi futari 1.5

prolly a better chance of getting mushi futari to be honest so we shall see.....

long story short.....i hooked something up to the powersupply without checking it first and blew the fuse in the powersupply....shooting 100v through the board in the process

live and learn.....

and yes....ibara is very good.....starting to get the hang of it now....never really put much time into raizing-esque games with rank systems and whatnot.....

definitely a nice change from all the danmaku i normally play
