That episode was a very good watch and had me anxious the entire time. Only thing that I didn't like was the "Coming Soon" at the end of the teaser for the next episode.

Is Sci Fi is about to do another "Midseason Pause" to build up anticipation?

Yeah, part 2 of the final season starts in 2009 from what I hear (groan).....

I felt last nights episode was anti-climactic. There was an awesome build of tension as the cylons could have nuked the human race out of existance while Ty and the final 3 are just about to be blown out of an airlock. Then all of the sudded it's like "hey, let's be friends! We can find Earth together!!!"

It was a bold step for Lee and shows his character, but the tension was lost too quickly and was a bit of a letdown.

I'm surprised they did what they did (trying not to spoil  ) so early in the season......where do you go from here now?

I just watched the most recent one and was like "o snap wut now?" I don't want to wait till '09 damnit. i kind of had the feeling something of that nature would occur when there were no earth ships floating around asking "who r u guys???"

on the sci-fi forums that's been discussed and decided that would have been just a tad bit too cheesy.

Great start to the final season.......

Without spoilers:

They "reveal" the final cylon, without revealing the final cylon.

And Starbuck "finding herself" was brilliant.

Can't wait for more!!!!!

Just seen it. Some oddities, some questions.
The truth about the thirteenth tribe is a bit weird though.

Do you guys think there will be a "complete series" collection once this is all over? I've avoided buying the DVDs because every time I do(Buffy, Angel), they release a better version that makes me feel stupid.

Still great storytelling, this title has yet to disappoint.......

Felix has changed since losing the leg....I miss flat out flighting with Cylons...now the enemy is their own crew

I'm guessing the next major event will be the other cylons (cavil) attacking them and they'll have to stand together to survive, etc. Also, obviously the suicide and other such trauma have partly led Gaeta to what he is doing, not just his leg :P

hay guyz. so i'm in portland, oregon, usa, and we have this theater pub called The Baghdad. Every since the start of the 2nd half of the 4th season, they've been showing BSG at the regular timeslot on the scifi channel friday nights, commercials and all, with free admission. but they're a theater PUB so they have food and beer and wine (21 and up only, legal drinking age of usa) and I've been there a few times. Anyway, last week i went, and they announced that Katee Sackhoff (Kara Thrace aka Starbuck) was coming for next week's shwoing (today)(she has family that lives here and she grew up here!), and i was liek WUTT. So my friend and I went tonight and got there around 6:00PM (doors opened at 9:00PM and show started at 10:00PM) and the line was already down the block and around the building). anyway it was pretty cool, we watched the show, and there was gonna be a Q&A session with katee afterwards. So right before the show started at 10 I was standing in line for another pitcher and Katee Sackhoff walked in with her family. I was like "!!!!!!!!!!" standing 20 feet away from her, she was wearing a green shirt, white pants and some brownish cardigan thingmajig and I really wanted to go up to her and say something, maybe shake her hand, but then I'd lose my spot in line for beer... so I stayed in line (got my priorities straight yo). Anyway, the Q&A was pretty funny, she was realy laid back and humorous through out it. Unfortunately she wasn't taking any pictures or signing anything (like my penis) because there were probably 650 people present (600 seats in the theater).

A cool night, I would say.

When is the final episode of "new" Battlestar Galactica anwyays? Will have to record it on DVD-R for posterity. ^_~

I recall watching the old Battlestar Galactica series -- the classic battle scenes between the Cyclon Raiders and Colonial Vipers fightercraft were cool. I'm sure that each episode was quite expensive to produce back in the late 1970s and into the early 1980s. Even the Cyclon motherships looked awesome with their twin sandwiched disk formations. ^_~

I recall seeing some of the original BG toys back in the late 1970s at my local Kmart. ^_~

The final episode is a 2 hour one airing this coming friday. I'll be back at The Baghdad enjoying it in all its glory with a few pitchers.

Cool story machinist..........

There is just so much that needs to be cleared up, and I doubt Ron Moore can do it in two hours. I'm worried about the series finale - if they screw it up, I'm just gonna pretend the series ended when they found Earth and it wasn't what they expected - kinda like I pretend the newest Star Wars weren't made.

I don't want to speculate on the show since I haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure to have some comments after Friday. One warning though: I hear Ron Moore was a big fan of the Sopranos ending, and he likes screwing with the fans

If its all ending that soon, then I guess all I can say is that they have gotten just as lost as the original series did when it reached Earth :? .
Most of this season has been filler-type stuff with no real forward movement, just getting bogged down in relationship drama like the previous seasons.

Well, just finished it, and I wasn't horribly disappointed.......I won't say much because it could spoil a lot.....;)

First 40ish minutes I didn't like where it was going, but then when they threw in the Chief messing everything up - and for good reason - I felt it really picked up.

I don't like where they went with Starbuck......it got a little too supernatural.

Will the Cylons return again?

Well they really screwed up the plot line with Starbuck by trying to write her out of the series, so I didn't expect they could logically end her character. Same with the "angles" as this was an early plot device to misdirect motive, and keep everyone guessing if Gias was one of the final five or just being manipulated with an implant. Outside of these two things, they did tie off the other character lines nicely...maybe to much of a feel good ending for my taste.

Now this fall its "their side of the story". LOL smell the money.

was anyone else reminded of Silpheed when they showed the Galactica after the final jump? (I'd be more specific, but don't want to spoil it)
It instantly came to mind for me.
