Anyone want to make one for me?





My brother in law made me play chess with him yesterday. I don't really like chess, but that might push me over the edge (to liking it).

What I imagine:

Pawns = 1942 player ship
Rooks = Vic Viper
Knights = Prince Palm
Bishops = Gradius Moai
Queen = Princess Reco
King = DoDonPachi General (stolen from above) :o

I´d love a parodius chess thing (must have them penguins and Moai in one set).

In fact I´d buy without hesitation.

Someone step up to this challenge.


BTW would anyone be interested in Gradius/parodius plushes?

My mum is making stuffed animals as a hobby and I´ve been nagging about a plush Pentarou and Vic Viper for a while. She loves making the stuff so I am sure she doesn´t mind making 1 or 2 extra.

1942? no the pawns have to be something fom raizing ofcourse!

Agreed, though I also think that the Moai would make better rooks (or should they be in the "villains" set?), and should be switched with the Vic.

Though on that note, I'm tempted to say that each piece should be from a different shmup company, so Vic/Moai and DDP General/Reko seem a bit redundant in that regard...there are plenty of possibilities to rearrange though. Not to mention that this'll never happen, though it is cool to think about, heh heh.

(Other possibilities I might consider - King/Gradius Brain - Knight/Jade Knight (too obvious?) - Queen/Marion - King/Toaplan Eggplant Guy - Queen/Parodius Vegas Dancer...ah, so many possibilities.)

Pawns = Basic Ikaruga popcorn enemies (the small round enemies) OR the gradius two-legged Walkers OR the space invaders enemies

Bishops = Moais

Knights = Miclus

Rooks = Bashinet (the red ship in Mahou) OR Blackheart

Queen = Hibachi OR Queen Pirates (from Gunbird 1 or 2)

King = Bydo Emperor

I wouldn't mind a Pentarou or one of those crazy missiles the bunny girls ride.

Still, I would feel a bit sheepish to buy a plushie at my age, especially for myself...
