Well... at least you know your credits average would be a LOT smaller if Ibara didn't count.
And I don't know if you're aware of that, but from what I noticed, in Ibara's arcade mode you shouldn't use bombers only as a last second resort if you want to make for a decent run. You have to bomb ALL THE TIME, more for killing enemies than just for saving your life.
If you ever credit-feed through Ibara again (on the Raizing marathon, for example), keeping that in mind might help.
But seriously, I died like 35 times, I don't think I needed to worry about my rank getting up too high Most of the time I couldn't collect more than 1 bomb anyway
i've done a similar thing, except with the gradius series.
i wrote done, 'cause my friend has a copy of the gradius III / IV pack, as well as gradius V. so he came over, and we looped the living hell out of all the gradius...es...[gradii?]. i can't tell if gradius V is infinite loop or not, 'cause we played for hours and hours and hours, looping the game a good four/five times

lol, amen to that.
G. Pepper: Good luck Star Fox!
Fox: I'll do my best! Andross won't have his way with me!
In the Options DVD, the designer goes on about wanting to see someone complete all 256 loops. And as we discussed in a way earlier thread, the loop count is most likely an 8-bit counter.
