Not quite what I meant; I wouldnt know the difference between the two. Heck, even if I saw them together, I likely wouldnt notice whatever it is. Never had a Saturn anyway.
Yeah, you would, actually.

And go get a Saturn.

Lol, you'd be surprised :P

I hear complaints about ports such as Mushihime all the time..... but I personally never even notice said problem. This also goes for ports that are complained about, where I've also played the original arcade version. I notice no problems at all usually in the home version.

But then, resolution doesnt bother me usually, and Im the same one that usually couldnt care less about tate/yoko modes in these.

It's REALLY rare that I ever notice (or if I do notice, then care about) things like this.

On other notes.....

Silpheed I already have. I have to agree.... this one coulda been alot better than it is.

It's not BAD, but it's so slow..... And I tend not to like the "full 3D graphics" shmups cause it can be hard for me to tell where things like hitboxes are..... Im so used to 2D sprites, from this and other genres I like, that full 3D can bug the heck outta me in a game like this.

Gigawing Generations I have; I liked that one alot, actually. Another one I hear complaints about alot that I personally saw no problems with.

Capcom's compilation I'll pointedly ignore.... I *really* hate Capcom. Usually these days I wont buy anything that has their name anywhere remotely near it.

As for a Saturn, eh, I likely wouldnt get much use outta it besides the shmups, which is the same thing I can say for (almost) all of Sega's consoles. I used to have a DreamCast for example, but it ended up being one of the very, very few consoles I've ever actually SOLD simply cause I got bored of it.

I dont know anything about Saturn-exclusive shmups anyway. Ports of games I could get on something else, I wouldnt bother with.

Instead I've been getting into the TG-16 shmups lately, heh. Some great things on there....

Oh, and what's this Trizeal? I keep hearing that name, I keep not knowing what it is, lol.

Some great info in here, thanks for all the advice.

Seems there's so many more shmups available on that thing than I'd thought there were.

Now if only I had more money for this...... :?

Trizeal's typically a Dreamcast game, by Triangle Service in 2005. It got ported to PS2 in 2006, and it's pretty good fun. A touch rough round the edges and perhaps basic, but fun for both those reasons. It's called ' Shooting Love: Trizeal' on PS2.

Triangle Service are a very small dev team. I'm not sure if they count as indy or actually just very organised homebrew. They also did XII Stag, which Trizeal is pretty much a sequel to...

EDIT: Trizeal started as a Naomi arcade game. I think Datam Polystar did the PS2 port.
