Anybody who has a PSP with a custom firmware ever play the homebrew game Kill Everything That Moves? It's actually not that bad of a shmup for a quick project.

rRootage and noiz2sa are the only homebrews other than Beats of Rage worthy enough to stay on my PSP memory stick.

I honestly haven't tried this one yet, but after having played pretty much everything thing else out there that is a homebrew shooter, expectations aren't too high.

Actually, i was browsing DCemu back in 2006, and i found a homebrew game made by a company called Globware. The game was called Squarez. It was only a 3mb game, but it has never left my PSP. The game was so addicting that I never even thought of it as a homebrew project. It's definatly my favorite Homebrew proj on any platform.

I liked it soo much i made my Gamertag "Evil Squarez". hehe.

Don't forget the other two PSP homebrew shmup titles such as R-Gear and the two stage demo of Callisto -- two fine shmup title worthy of your time on the PSP... ^_~

Possible Lucasarts cease and desist? Those ships look way too similar to x-wings.

Off-topic here, but man I love the Shinobi III beta.

On-topic: Oh look, my favorite shmup feature - numbers bouncing all over the playfield and obscuring each other so that they end up being useless anyway.

Looks like a clone of C99's DCSquares for Dreamcast, Windows, Mac & Linux: http://dcsquares.c99.org/

aha. Are you kidding me? I should grow up? Please.

"oh yeah this game is crap. The truth hurts kinda like this game." I asked if anybody played it.

Plus saying something is "crap" is pretty much a scrub answer. Somebody did put time and effort into making that game. I would never tell anyone their projects were crap.

i as a dev would take those comments as advice if they come with constructive criticism... the matter that you put sometime into makin a game or whatever, doesnt mean that for someone it cant be crap or whatever.

if the comment its just flammable, i wont pay attention, but if it comes with somekinda advice, then i think its wise to pay attention to them.

i hope you got my drift here.

edit: some minor mispellings.

whatever buddy...you asked if anybody played it....i have.....i thought it was crap.....

somebody made it.....obviously...doesnt mean its good....

i dont care if my best friend made this game....i would tell them it was crap....im not gonna lie to em about it.....its too slow and the gameplay is weak.....

and what exactly is a scrub??

and how exactly does having a negative opinion of this game make me one?

Scrub = You

And if you told your best friend this game is crap, obviously you have no heart sir. How is telling a dev that his or her game is crap helping them at all? It certainly would discourage them from making other builds and trying to improve on it. People just going around saying games are bad and thats it dont help anyone.
