Side Arms.
I can't take that shit, it sounds like a fucking underwater pipe organ or something. Especially stage 2's music. Good God Capcom, way to make a good soundchip.

The NES version is FAR WORSE. FAR WORSE. Instead of it actually sounding like a whistle, it's simply a beep with a little noise over it. It soudls like a slightly distorted telegraph, going "beep, beep, beepbeep, beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep."Stormwatch wrote:Unless MAME is seriously flawed, 1942 sounded awful in the original version.
But Xevious remains undefeated in its audio crapness.

I...see...so I shouldn't assign any significance to the "make a soundchip" bit.ZeetherKID77 wrote:Arcade.Ed Oscuro wrote:whaaat
Side Arms has great music. Are you talking arcade or port?
The Side Arms track is my favorite from the Capcom Game Music Vol. 2 CD, and that one also has Top Secret (Bionic Commando), Rush & Crash, Street Fighter (1), and a Rockman arrange track.
