Hi does anyone know if Zanac x zanac or any psx shmupper have Tate mode?

Zanac is not a tate game. Therefore no Zanac on any console has tate.

About other PS1 shooters, just check if the games are ports of arcade games with tate. I think most (if not all all) Japanese PS1 arcade ports of games with tate feature tate on PS1, too.

I believe that'd be a "most" - I vaguely recall hearing that the JPS1 ports of Gunbird and "Geki-Oh" Shienryu lack tate mode, but I might recall incorrectly.
