Any board or forum dedicated to racing or driving games?

Post by azmun »

I recently came across one of the previous posts here of some members choices for racing games. It's quite interesting. Does anyone know of a forum or board that focuses on this genre? Fighting games seem to have too many. Shooting ones like this site are few to come by. So if one or a few exists for racing games I'd really like to know.

I know of only 2 Ridge Racer boards.

1 Japanese: http://www5a.biglobe.ne.jp/~death13/index2.htm [which also happens to be the best RR website]

1 English: http://www.rhythmshift.net/modules/newbb/ [not much activity though]

I couldn't care less about the possible many boards that discuss GT.

If you've got an Xbox and Forza, you'll probably have an enjoyable time here: http://www.forzacentral.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=54

Wow. Thanks for the links. I had no idea such games had a cult following. Still, I'm hoping to find one that is multi platform. My tastes for racing games range from arcades to 8-128 bit consoles.

That site pretty much covers everything, with a slant towards sims (obviously). Might be able to spark some good discussions there.

I love older racing games like Monaco GP, Outrun, and Pole Position and newer ones like Ridge Racer. I'm more into the arcade style games than the more realistic ones, though. I like the remakes of Outrun, Virtua Racing, and Monaco GP in SEGA Arcade Classics for PS2. I also like the overhead view racing games like Micro Machines and games like Super Mario Kart.
