I'm pretty interested in this game, but I haven't found enough screenshots, between IGN and Gamespot, to tell me whether or not this is a side-scroller. At any rate, is it any good?
How about the "new" Pitfall that came out for the PS2?
Any thoughts or opinions - PS1 Pitfall 3D: Beyond the Jungle

I thought it was pretty enjoyable back when I played it (better than Mayan Adventure, for sure). It's not a sidescroller, it's a 3d platformer.
Checked IGN/Gamespot and saw the low quality of the screenshots...quite repulsive
One of these days I'll have to stroll through it for a bit and shoot some screens so that we can get some better stuff out in the wild.

Thanks for that feedback! I'd probably enjoy it, then, since I'm actually one of the few who liked Mayan Adventure.
Are there any parts of the game that are side-scrolling? Because I found this screenshot on GameSpot:

There are segments that are side scrollerish (similar to how One handled side scrolling and 3d action...only like..more adventure based...and with a whip...and in the jungle..um...ok, different games). Like I said, I haven't played it in a really long time and you're making me want to break the sucker out againdave4shmups wrote:Are there any parts of the game that are side-scrolling? Thanks! I'm attempting to trade for it on Gametz at the moment.
In any case, I really just need to shell out the $19.99 for a one-year IGN account; if I had one then I could watch the videos they have of this game, which would be helpfull.
I just don't get IGN's policy on videos; it would make more sense to me to charge people to watch brand new ones, instead of charging them to watch ones that were made back in frickin' 1997.

IGN complains about the need to make back the money that they spent on stuff like the Super Wide Boy and an Ultracade machine.roushimsx wrote:dave4shmups wrote:In any case, I really just need to shell out the $19.99 for a one-year IGN account; if I had one then I could watch the videos they have of this game, which would be helpfull.
