Right then soundtrack fans,
I’m looking for shooter soundtracks that have enjoyed the orchestral treatment. Gradius’ soundtracks for example, have had twice been redone/remixed/covered by full on classical orchestras.
I’m not looking for shmups that already have classical scores. Just classical reworkings...
I’m mainly up for full on symphonic, so I can imagine people pounding kettledrums and maniacal conductors with arms like the estate agent from Monkey Island, whilst simultaneously imagining all kinds of space combat shenanigans...
Any spring to mind?
Of course I searched other threads, and while there was the odd reference to classical music, I found very little on classical reworkings aside from Gradius. Ceph will likely prove me wrong, as he has a superhuman ability with searches I simply can’t replicate!
Classical Remixeristation...

I've never looked into it much, but there is a Thunder Force Renaissance album that might be worth checking out.

Cheers Bill,
I'm not actually into classical usually, but those Gradius Classical albums are bloody great for making tidying the house and washing up far more dramatic an experience...
