Okay, this isn't strictly about Shmups, but I plan on using it to record some Shmups so...
I'm looking for a video capture device that has both RCA jacks and RF connectors. I have several "classic" consoles that I would like to record video and/or screen-caps from that I only have an RF adapter for. I would prefer that it be a simple plug in type device (like connecting to computer via USB), but that is not necessary.
Any suggestions?

Lies. I've done all my captures with a USB capture device and they've worked out well.Hewitson wrote:Steer clear of any USB products.

The picture shows an RF/SVid/Composite input jack. Doesn't look like it supports L/R sound, but there are many more that do. I think you can buy that RF/composite/svideo converter thingy.Eltigro wrote:Only problem is, it doesn't look like has RCA video in, just S-video. I don't have S-video on several of my consoles. Other than that, it looks perfect. I'll do some more searching.Dave_K. wrote:Plenty of these on ebay.
Maybe I'm just being picky... or cheap. I can find actual plug in PCI cards that would probably work. Like this. This card has the Rf jack, Stereo audio and RCA video in. It also has the S-video if I have need. It is not as convenient as a USB device, but if it's the best option I can find, it'll have to do.
