Well, I'm here, at the Krönprinz Hotel. Gotta pick up a S-Bahn pass, but I've already gotten around the city a bit. Saw the ICC (conference centrum) and went inside briefly.
Comparisons to, say, New York, London, Amsterdam, etc.:
*Not ugly.
*Far less traffic (especially out here in the Western part of the city).
*Very few pharmacies open on Sunday (none along Prince Wilhelm as far as I walked it).
*No water...hard water in my hotel room, no water fountains anywhere, and I saw a soda machine in the ICC that wants 2 euros for half a liter of Coke. whu-

By the way, I'm leaving for Bremen later today. Didn't really get to see as much of Berlin as I wanted (few of the attractions for one), but I liked what I saw
