I liked Trizeal a lot. Not played Chaos Field. I spent (from memory) over £25 on LH from videogameimports pretty much as soon as it came out.
I agree that people producing shmups in today's market should be praised but that's not the issue here is it. I think peoples' anger has come about by them trying to give constructive criticism only for it to be thrown back in their faces.
This is either extreme arrogance or dillusion, after all it's us that buy the games.
For my part I'll not rush out and buy DUX when it is released and wait to see whether the same problems with LH are present there. From a developer and marketing point of view I would suggest that RHE is a little more conciliatory than he's been to date.

Well does that mean even a 10 year old could tell Last Hope is low-budget? (that may be right though..). You couldve simply asked why I think so (even though it seems pretty obvious to me).DCEvoCE wrote:"Post n.12"
The choice of colors, the exlposion, the backgrounds, the mix of higher and lower quality sprites, the rather ugly ship ripped off from R-type, even if this game wouldve been released in 1995 people would have seen something was wrong.
That being said, when one aspect of a game is very low-budget it's rather rare that the other aspect are top-notch. Again I am not saying the game sucks, there are some GREAT low-budget game and theres nothing wrong with admitting it.
