Central PA Gathering, May 10th.

Post by A|G »

So yeah,
I'm in the mood to have a little gathering of gamer/geeks like myself.
Original date didn't work, so moved to May 10th.
Saturday, around noon until whenever.
Harrisburg, PA 17103
There's a pizza joint a short walk away and a small beer distributor up the road.
I do not have any current-gen systems (wii, 360, PS3) but I do have a most everything before that.
Should have two TVs running at the same time.
Vertical games are not a problem.
I'm sure fighters and shooters will be the bulk of what's played, but if there's anything you want to bring, be my guest.
I have a decent library, but if there's something specific you want to play, or a particular controller you require in order to unleash those "mad sklz", please bring it with.
Any questions, please post here for all to see.

Hope to see you here,

A|G

Just a couple of things:
- Allergic to cats? I have three.
- No smoking indoors, please.
- Thieves, liars, know-it-alls, and any other form of uncoolness will not be tolerated.

I'd be up for it, Harrisburg isn't too far of a drive from me, but that's my birthday and I'm going to Illadelph to see 16.
Feedback will set you free.

I'm probably not going to be able to make it, since I usually get off every other weekend and I have off this coming saturday. Otherwise, we could have carpooled.

I'm working 2 part time jobs and have applied to a boat load of others, so there's no telling what my schedule will be.
Anyhow, I do live like right down the street from you apperently, so it shouldn't be too hard to stop by even if I am working.

Hey A|G...

I saw that you also posted this on NeoGeo.com, but I was wondering, have you thought about also posting on Shoryuken ( http://forums.shoryuken.com/forumdisplay.php?f=19 )? I was actually talking to a friend from there and he mentioned he might be interested in going... you might be able to find more people if you post there as well!

If you need an envoy, don't hesitate to ask!

Yeah, shmups and neo-geo are the only two game-related sites I frequent.
If any of you guys know someone who'd be down, by all means bring them along.
Right now, it's looking to be pretty chill.
Like 7 definite's, and 3 or 4 maybe's.
My buddy is bringing a 24"LCD, and I have a 50" plasma that tates.
I'm trying to get a Japanese PS2 so we can jam on some import shooters and maybe a little Hokuto No Ken.
Should be laid-back, and a good time.
If there's anything specific you want to play or show, please bring it along.

Also . . . (shameless plug) I am selling a bunch of PCBs and some console stuff (wink, wink)
Anyone want to take home a Ninja Warriors machine?
Ha ha!

I've got my schedule for the 10th, and it looks like I'll be at work till 3:30
Count me in for late afternoon if you guys are still going at it.
I've got my Duo-R, Saturn, and PS2 available, and a 19" TV that's great for tate.
Some two player Sapphire would be sweet, but I'll have to re-solder the controller port fist :?

I'll bring it, but I'm so lame i didn't fix the controller port yet, so keep your fingers crossed that a little wiggling does the trick.

I actually work until 4:30, so I won't make it til after 5:00. :x

It was a pretty good turn-out though.
