New Lifting Score

Post by icepick »

Lifting:
503,220 - Lifts 52 - icepick

:D

I'm trying to get used to my first arcade stick, and I thought that the lifting game would be as good a place as any to practice. Up until now, I'd been thinking that a pad would probably be better for this kind of thing, since after using the stick, I was getting around one or two lifts. I stuck with it, though, and on this last run, my heart was beating so hard when I got to 40! This little bonus game is so good at getting you pumped up. 8)

I used the A-1 (1P) ship, in missle mode, just to note. Taking the towers out as quickly as possible with the missles makes things a bit more productive with regard to lifting, and after a while I remembered that the trick is to get to where you think that the... thing... is going to "land" on your ship. Old news I know, but lifting loves company!

... Oh. I just noticed that the official IR is finished. I should probably save the tables before they're taken down.

Anyway... For arcade mode, I'm slowly getting the hang of it; I'm not able to reach stage 4 yet (although I should remember that I've gotten there only twice before), but I one-lifed stages one and two with max weapons, which is always encouraging. I suppose that my goal in Trizeal for this year is to reach stage 5!

i got my copy of Trizeal just recently - so i hope my question does'nt come too late...

i always play Trizeal in 2-player-mode together with a friend

one thing that realy puzzels me is that i constantly get a much higher score than him - although we share the bombs, medals, colored_balls and so on as good as we can and we're both kinda equaly skilled

so how does it come that my score is always that much higher (in the first levels sometimes double his score)? we don't credit_feed and keep us powered_up equaly...

could it be that killing_a_boss only scores for me 'cause my shoot(s) got him or something like that?

strange...

another question about the 2-player-mode (not realy about scoring - sorry)

is there something like a "rank" in this mode also? if so: how many (few) power_ups are we supposed to use, so that the rank is keept down?

thanx :)

That Tattoo.

Arcade Mode:
1,801,510 - Stage 4 - icepick - A-1

Only a small increase, but I'm mentioning it because I had one of the most fun times playing, and I was only checking to see if I could perform the "dadada shot" of the PS2 port on the DC (is that really all that it is; rapid shot plus rapid trans?) and maybe see these UFOs that people were talking about. I ended up making it in one life up to the stage four boss, although I used one of my five (!) bombs at one point during the stage three boss and missed the 100%.

Once at the boss, I did my best to dodge the patterns (which didn't work too well). Then, I said "oh, those gun pods" and danced around a bit before it was game over. I'd remembered the bombs and considered for a split-second to bomb my way to stage five, but even a split-second was too long.

I'm glad, though, because I'd rather get there for the first time the same way that I got to stages two, three and four initially. It's going to be great when I finally unlock stage 4 for score attack, because I really like that stage!

Welcome, and congratulations!

Of course it's not too late, but I've quoted and replied a bit to your message in the strategy forum general discussion topic for this game. Maybe it will be more easily-seen there, and someone will have answers for you. I did post a couple of ideas that I had over there, I hope that they're of some help.

are there any superplays of this available (as in not commercially released INH ones)? or any decent play throughs?

there are some single stage videos on super-play.co.uk, but they don't equal a full run (and honestly, they seem more for general demonstration then score pursuit).

i've been thinking about getting this again (traded my copy a couple years ago for battle garegga), and i'd like to sort of psyche myself up. :D
I have no sig whatsoever.

Right, as David hasn't managed to update this since April 07, and has been away from this forum this year aside from two posts in March, and not replied to a PM sent in May about this thread, I've taken the liberty of...

...starting a new Trizeal hi-score thread here!

David - if you want this back it's all yours, as I don't want to steal your thread - I just didn't want the Trizeal table to die!

All incomplete updates here have been dealt with in the new thread!
