Check out all the human trafficking that goes on at the border.

Or ask about the death camps.

Or the rise of neo-nazism in their government.

Ah, just kidding.

But seriously, didn't they legalize prostitution in some parts of Germany?

That's what i'd be doin'!

Or looking for one of those cute nutcrackers that look like famous politicians.

This bit came out a bit weird.

I know I should have done that to have a perfect stay in Berlin.

Went to the 2000 edit of the Love Parade and after not getting tickets to a `decent`afterparty, me and my at the time girlfriend crashed a party at a VERY dubious (I think i was the only male there being just that ) kreuzberg discotheque.
But all nice and stuff, the gf had to spranke here ankle when going for some Kebab afterwards. Damn Kreuzberg pavements... avoid them like the plague.

otherwise it seemed pretty relaexed though to be honest. Nothing scary or whatever.

Hmm. I tell everybody who'll listen that I loved Weltenburger's beer (especially their dark brews), but I won't be going back that way, unfortunately.

Anyway - did I already mention this? I go to Bremen (shortly) after Berlin. Heading out there by train.

What.. I was in Love Parade 2000 too and there were like dozens of truly excellent afterparties and countless 'decent' ones (1,5 million visitors wouldn't fit very well to just a couple of parties). I think I ended up in Kulturbrauerai, which was a huge factory-type complex with 7 or 9 stages. I haven't been to Berlin since 2001, but if I went now I'd check out the club Berghain and Kreuzberg, if it was really such a nasty neighborhood as in the german movie 'Knallhart' ('Tough Enough'))

I'm going to be in Bremen on Tuesday, May 20th. Anyone have tips and suggestions what to do? Any good clubs that are open till 4 a.m. or so, I need to get to the airport early?

I thought that actually, but I was too lazy to actually look it up, so I played it safe and said "some parts". :P

Mostly becuz the GF wanted to.
I did enjoy the parade and stuff though.

And to be honest, Berlin is one of the nicest cities I've been too.
It just oozes controversy and history. It's booming.

Fave place would have to be the (dunno the places name but its a small square (and place where concerts are held) between two church like buildings and in walking distance of the Berliner Dome -which is awesome too imo)).

Also walking/relaxing in the gardens of Charlottenburg was great (wheather helped a lot that holiday).
