what do you all do for sound?
is there such a thing as a supergun with a headphone out?
i really want to get into pcbs, but the idea of having speakers/an ugly monitor sitting sideways is starting to drive me out of my mind.
For those using monitors...what about sound?

Most superguns have RCA out, you can just plug a set of headphones into that. Most headphones are 1/8", so just buy a converter from Radio Shack. Make sure you use earphones with an adjustable volume control though, otherwise you'll have to fiddle with the volume pot on the PCB whenever you want to change the volume.
From someone selling theirs. No one stocks them. There's the XRGB, XRGB-2, XRGB-2+, and the most recent one, the XRGB-3. Expect to pay $200-$300 for one though.kid aphex wrote:awesome; where's a good place to buy one from?
If there's an RCA out on most SGs, it's not necessary to have an XRGB. The XRGB is just an upscan converter. You still need the SG. There are some pretty detailed threads talking about the XRGBs and what they do, just do a search if you're interested.

Hey Kid A,
Ever give any thought to a cabinet? Next time there is one of those SuperAuctions like they had here you should really check it out. Cabs were going for extremely cheap. Adam from the Neo boards grabbed a 2-slot for $15 lol.
