Since when did General Morden turn into a complete retard?

The backdrop looks straight off the N64. [hardly warrants the GeForce 6600 level graphics, now, does it?]

I hope they fix that up and get some real gameplay in here. I don't know what's worse - forever recycling the original Metal Slug graphics, or what JoshF calls 'SNK Pigs official licensed doujin games.'

Those started with MS4.

In a way it should be better because they're not abusing the hard work of the original graphic designers, but looking at that screenshot it's basically telling them "fuck you we're going to taint your work and would give a project to a walrus with a graphing calculator if it made us any money."

Didn't Playmore take over after SNK went bankrupt, which was in between 3 and 4?

I liked 6, but 4 and 5 were forgettable.

I bet a Metal Slug game on a calculator designed for walruses could be fun.

But yeah, I'm not sure I don't mind seeing SNK/P show its colors. Better than watching them rape the old MS graphics set, anyway.

How is it, that from the mid-80s to the late 90s Sega and SNK were two of the best videogame making companies out there, and every since early 2000 they've both turned into two of the most God awful worthless developers in the industry?

What`s with the Sega hate? Sega`s output on current-gen platforms has been far superior to anything any other Japanese company has produced. Virtua Fighter 5 and Ryu ga Gotoku: Kenzan are fuck awesome. And Senjou no Valkyria is pretty damn great too. People always bitch about Sega being lame, yet when they do bring quality stuff like Panzer Dragoon Orta, Jet Set Radio Future, Ryu ga Gotoku/Yakuza and Virtua Fighter 5 to the US and Europe, no one fucking buys them. I`m sure the same thing will happen to Ryu ga Gotoku 2 and Ryu ga Gotoku: Kenzan. Sega`s recently announced that they`ll be bringing RgG2 to the US and EU, but because of all the "Sega sucks" Sonic-loving idiots, the game will most likely tank harder than the first one did.

Sega has about an even amount of win/fail these days. It's arcade division is as good as it ever was but Sonic team has long been neutered and made into a quantity-over-quality cash cow designed for maximum sales of minimal quality. Sigh, I really do wish we were living in an alternative reality where the Saturn was marketed right in the west, there was no 32X, Sega Cd had focused more on real games and everybody was raving about how awesome the 4th iteration of Shenmue is on their current gen Sega system. Then again, Al Gore probably won the election and Joe Lieberman would be busy destroying adult media.
