But Hector '87's main and stage theme is *still* up there with the Bomberman theme and the Mario theme as being truly epic.

What's really nice about having the real NEC Super CD-Rom2 version of Lords of Thunder, is that by sticking it into a regular CD music player, one can listen to the redbook encoded BGM tunes without the need for a TV monitor -- can't do that with the Wii Virtual Console d/l of LoT though. Just don't listen to track #01 though (on a music CD player setup) & and you're good to go. ^_~

Best twenty-five bucks I've ever spent paying for it brand new back in 1994...I recall seeing a brand new sealed TTI version of LoT Super CD-Rom2 game for sale at MSRP $49.99 USD at a local Electronics Boutique during the same year. ^_~

Are you kidding? A user here turned me onto the OST and it sounds amazing. Unless you don't like any music made with a guitar. lol.
People I have dealt with successfully: bleem (x2), spazicon, sven666, sparky, iatneH, Dragon1952, kozo, Ghegs

OK
Since the day LOT came out I have been bombarded by reviews first, and then rabid drooling friends from very far away saying that OMFG LORDS OF THUNDER HAVE THE BEST MUSIC IN THE VIDEOGAMES HISTORY I MEAN IT'S FUCKING HARD ROCK METAL GRIND OMG THAT'S A MIRACLE!!!1!!11!!11!11!!! OMG

At the time I thought that CDs were unattainable pieces of very advanced technology and I dreamt night & day to play a game that didn't come in cartridges but in CDs with music and *gasp* digital speech! I thought only aliens could own something this cool and advanced.

So, back to LOT's soundtrack, I had to listen to it, but since I'm European and the PCE never made it here (apart from that kind of aborted tentative everybody knows about) I didn't have the chance - nor the money - to afford an imported console AND a precioussss copy of that game.

Suddendly, around 1996 I think, I had the fat chance to travel and meet a friend of mine who had a million consoles AND the prized PCE with CDs and stuff... and He Had LOT.
First thing after getting in his house was 'plz let me see/hear/play lot omg or I'll slaughter ur family'. I was about to experience the awesomely hyped sountrack of my life.

What happened next? Instead of writing a gigantic, enormous and rabid WTF WAS THAT SCREECHING MIDI SHIT I'll post a random cute Apidya-inspired pic.

Thanks for your attention.

Awesome. I wonder if the people who hipe the LOT soundtrack so much love the DoDonpachi soundtrack with the same fervour?

I can't decide which one is worse.

I agree. GOT has great tunes, where it seems like LOT is just one long guitar solo or something.

By the way, GoT beats both of them. I'd like to know just what happened with that whole mixup.
